Nice game. The story was interesting. The music didn't get too boring. There was some thing with the explanation of the war mechanic that was weird ("The loser will Might equal to the..."). You may have missed some words there. Would have been nice to have some automation for the troop training part, like selecting the troops you want to train and the game did it automatically when enough resources were collected. Also a way to see the rate of resource collection.
Really liked the incremental interface, with more and more tabs/stats appearing as they come into play.
I got a little numb in my finger trying to wage war no two other countries reaching a might of 150k :D
I didn't think I was going to finish it, but I did. Nicely done with this game!
This was a really nice and addictive game. I enjoyed it pretty much and were able to finish it and defeat all other nations. The UI and the two colors fit very well. The balance of progress was very well made!
The story was the strongest point and very nice. Normally I hate stories and reading but this one was well done in dropping only single sentences which made it pretty good to follow. The music and the sounds also fit the game well.
Great Job here!
Since this game has a high quality for a jam game, I leave some quality feedback for improvements. Most I think are optional, but could add something.
Thanks for the detailed feedback! I like your suggestions and think I'll implement a few after the rating period is over. Definitely need some UI/UX improvements at the very least. Too many sore fingers from all the clicking towards the end!
I don't play games like this much but this was very addicting. I thought I was getting close to the end but another layer appeared. I had to stop before I spent too long on this game. Great job!
Writing this comment as numbers go up. So far it's a cute little polished clicker game. Loving the visual direction and story, and the music fits well. Looking forward to the ending!
Neat! Not much to say on this feedback wise, I like this. take on incremental games. Very good writing.
Hi TheShaggyDev,
That was a really unique take on the theme, and the execution was flawless as well.
It was super enjoyable with a nice atmosphere and it kept me going until the end.
Congrats on your entry! :)
P. S. I really like your YouTube channel, hope to see more videos soon!
Thank you!! Glad you like the game and the channel :)
Beat the game! Nice job. It was really fun to see an idle game entry, and this was extremely well executed. You built a great atmosphere, and it was fun to see what could be unlocked. :)
Nice game! Me and a friend of mine ended up racing the game, seeing who would finish it first. The texts reminded me of Cultist Simulator: they don't make a lot of sense at first, but they are really intriguing and keep you playing to see where will it all get. The music fitted nicely too. I agree with what everyone else said, but it wasn't a big deal for me (my keyboard has a clicking macro hahaha).
The only "issue" we found, which is really minor, is that I believe this upgrade can't be bought because of the cost. This didn't affect the gameplay and I don't mind it. Just thought you might want to know this.
Once again, good job: It was an enjoyable game!
Ooh good catch! Will patch that out.
Fun little clicker with story. I agree with others on the +10 but would have liked to be able to configure the ratios for the auto apply button. I played it to the end.
My completionist side pushed me towards unlocking everything and completing the game. Definitely loved the lore building going on with the flame and how you get it to grow.
As mentioned in other comments just having +10 as options later in the game is weird, perhaps as you reach certain scales or when you get specific upgrades it also improves offering +100 or +1k options.
Thanks! And yeah, that's a good suggestion. Going to rework the UI a little bit after the rating period ends and hopefully make it less click-heavy in a few different areas. Think I was starting to get a little UI-blind by the end of things!
A satisfying clicker game with a little story. Though the buttons for the kingdom could be improved. I wasn't easy to move many people at once. I have to keep clicking -+10, but it might have been intended as a clicker game. Nevertheless a great game!
