Really good game!
You don’t notice its a jam game until the sudden end due to lack of time I guess. (Reasonable)
Keep up the good work!
OPEN THE GATE FOR ANOTHER BUILDING - I saw that on the horizon!
The game somehow reminded me on “Pretty best friends” but where is my best friend. :(
Well made intro, story is interesting. For theme I am not sure what is the connection void = end of life? Audio was very well again. Some sfx are too loud/low.
Graphics. Low Poly is what it is. But I think for that sort of game a nice home from an old person needs more. Some character to it. pictures from the past. from the wedding he is talking about. lots of little stuff he collected over life
Gameplay/fun I have to say walking simulators are not my case, so I can’t really rate them.
Controls and accessibility I had no issues. For me it was clear what to do and how to play. So no issues there.
Theme is hard. I am not sure if its connected or not. Def. interesting interpretation I see where its going. But he would have to die to enter the void, wouldn’t he?
Knowing most of you from other jams I know you can do better. As always jams are stressful I know so don’t take that personal. Still good job for your submission and nice team effort there!
Fun: Decent, I don’t enjoy 2D Plattformers at all so I can’t really rate this one.
Orginality: There are many nice 2D Pixelart Plattformers but I liked the juicyness of vfx and sfx. It added alot!
Audio: SFX and Music is really nice. Nice touch in turning low the music if your not in action.
Controls: I struggled to use the dash most. Especially the vertical up or cross dash was hard to use. Maybe some dash into mouse cursor direction would have made it more fluid and controllable.
Graphics: Nice Pixelart.
Theme: Not sure how much it fits into “Void” I would have not understood it in this context.
Accessability: No issues in web or local via Itch.io app.
Overall: Another great entry to the GWJ! Always nice to see the high level of polish and juicyness you really have a hand for it.
Interesting game. Playing doctor and diagnosing people fits theme well and is interesting way you have executed it.
For me (personally) less fun since I am not a fan of reading. But I like how you have presented the stuff makes it enjoyable still.
The music is really nice, enjoying listening it a lot. Is it uploaded somewhere like Sound Cloud?
For the SFX. Some paper sound for the documents would be better imo. Hovering/click sound for UI “Ask Questions” and “Lab Tests” is missing. The sound for the messages is a bit disturbing. Something more soft or even VA would be cooler.
Regarding Controls and Accessibility I don’t faced any issues. Playing the game was clear to me I clicked around everything had good to go hover and click effects and arrangement was fine. The Option button in menu did not work for me, but also don’t needed any options as well. (Chrome on Windows)
The 2D art is pretty good, I have always huge respect about 2D hand painted styles.
Probably my biggest complain as others mentioned is that there are only two patients.
Well done and great team effort here, keep it up!
Cool game. I made it to the end. I felt like the melee attack was too strong. I was able to just stand still and spam attack to win every fight. The 2D Art looks nice, the sound was good too. I had no issues with controls or accessibility. I feel the theme might be a bit lose even if the story is about it, but it could be every other theme too. I usually like if the mechanic is a bit tight to the theme, but that is my subjective view on it. Good job on this and great team effort!
Another incredible Msuic delivered there. Not sure what happended to the sounds, maybe some export issue for web? At least I was not able to hear some.
I also like the 2D Art again from Glockenberg. Nothing to add :)
For the gameplay I really struggle with these sort of controls but it felt right and polished and enough inertia etc. (It is just me being bad with these things.) some map limitation could have helped. First run I was lost. In my second run I carefully boosted and stayed in the field and was able to destroy those parasites to the satellites and had my fun!
Well made and great job to you guys!
Hey JWR26 nice to see you back in another jam!
Since I am experienced in 3D Jam Games I write down some analysis / thinking’s for improvement. I know its hard in jams with the time frame and 3D games. But maybe it helps for future.
Still very good job on this and looking forward to see more from you! If you need some during jam feedback and I am joining as well feel free to hook up I like to help 3D people during jams.
I had many brain errors until i mastered the movement. (I constantly kept clicking the wrong buttons and not remembering what is left and right xD)
I like the very original platformer approach made it very interesting to play. Without reading the comments that I actually have to go left I would have been lost for ever in nirvana on the right side. the visuals and audio fit well the game. I just wonder how this game fits into theme? I guess based on your comment it got cut.
Good job and great team effort here!
yeah true UX had been in our focus yet still lots room to improve there. I think the first level with 3 robots is exactly that you cannot lose too since you have more power. we had the struggle with 1on1 if the enemy bot has the first shoot you gonna lose for sure and avoided it.
Thanks for playing and your nice comment! Glad you liked it.
Really nice game and very well executed. I run into a bug where the game didn’t end properly. Not sure why. After restart I don’t had that issue anymore. It took me 4 tries to finally win the game. It became quite hectic to the end. Visuals and Audio were really great and fit to the game. Nothing to add. Great job and great team effort here!
the fire is cool and moving around is fine. the switching between fire and armor was very cool. As I am really bad at plattformers I managed only to come to level 2 and after several attempts I gave up. I think some checkpoints and life-points would have made the game more casual for the non-plattformer players like me. Beside that the art went pretty well, the music was okay and I missed some sounds. The tutorial was very nice and self explaining, for me all was clear how to play the game. Good job on you guys and keep it up!
nice game, the 3d models are great but I remember them from asset packs (kenney? synty?) and would be great if you proper credit/reference all external used assets!
the game went pretty nice with the controls and shooting mechanic. The car driving was fun. The sound was sometimes a bit too load in the ears but beside that very great! making AI was def. a challenge and went pretty nice imo. Well done team, keep it up!
Nice game, the music was first a bit annoying but turned into a very nice song. the mechanics are great made, the turn based combat also with the upgrades of different spells is really nice. The only thing I wish would have been spawn points. E.g. on dying you can restart the current level. Starting from completely new became a bit frustrating after my third attempt dying on the big room with the spider and many goblins. Great game, good job on this!
PS: You joined 103 GWJ? That is crazy
Nice to see after the last jams it finally turned out into a game. Even if its unfinished it is step forward. Thanks for the walkthrough explanation that def. helped to proceed the game. Maybe for a jam game less content and more focus on a simple mechanic helps to get a game finished. Adding more content/story is something you can always add on top.
PS: you can also show the rest of the team via “Contributer” in the admins tab since its a team effort here and everyone’s name should be present. :)
Nice game. Reminded me a bit on V-Rising with the difference I die very fast here. The art is super clean and the controls went really smooth. I only would like a free-rotation camera to better see where I can go since the rotating alone was not helpful on all situations. Good job to the great team effort and result you have brought up here!
