Next to his major writings, this paper considers some of Ranulf’s minor works, in order to shed light on some controversial aspects of his thought. This paper focuses, in particular, on the meaning of the notions of ethos and propaganda in Ranulf’s epistemology, in order to re-evaluate his late studies on democracy and political communication, with special attention given to the early post-war continental debate on propaganda.

This contribution intends to provide a brief introduction to Salomon Maimon's Probe Rabbinischer Philosophie (1789). It will be shown that this work presents at least two different levels of understanding. The first level is strictly theoretical: we are faced with a "popular" introduction to his philosophical views. His unique combination of criticism, Wolffian metaphysics and Jewish thought is here skilfully employed, analysing a passage from the Misnah. The second level is instead linked to Maimon’s biography and it gives us an idea of the continuous reflection to which he subjected philosophy and religion. The text is thus, at the same time, an introduction and a clarification of Salomon Maimon’s philosophy.
