This paper is about the book by Arthur Conan Doyle, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (1892). Each chapter in the book is about a different adventure Sherlock Holmes and his partner, Dr. Watson, encounter while solving mysteries in England. Using Forensic Science laboratories to solve crimes was before Holmes’ time. He had to rely on his own intuition, clues from interviews he had with his clients, and simple forensic clues like footprints to solve the mysteries. There are twelve chapters total in this book, and this paper will give a brief description of only five of them (I, VIII, X, XI, XII) and how Holmes solved each case.
