Makalah ini membahas tentang dua distribusi yaitu Weibull dan Rayleigh dalam menentukan model distribusi yang sesuai untuk data kecepatan angin di Pekanbaru. Estimasi parameter yang digunakan adalah metode maksimum likelihood dan menggunakan uji kebaikan ( Goodness of Fit ) AIC ( Akaike’s Information Criterion ) .     The scarcity of Islamic learning materials especially guidance to do shalah using animation technology with interactive interfaces become a reason to the implementation of thisstudy. In this study, we integrates Augmented Reality (AR) elements into a children’s learning book, named AR SHALAT 4D Educational Book. It has been designed in ‘Markerless-based AR’ using mobile devices. The study was tested on an audience of randomly selected children aged 5-6 years and give the conclusion that, AR prayer is a suitable app for solving problems for prayer. Furthermore, this app can be used as one of the forms of mobile learning to the Muslim community regardless of age and background limits.

    Extracting meaningful pattern from data can be challenging. Irrelevant, redundant, noisy and unreliable data, misinterpretation of results and incompatibility of a technique to extract unknown patterns from data may lead analyst to develop an erroneous classifier. This research is encouraged by `No Free Lunch' theorem that can be simplified as no classification technique that works best for every problem. This study tries to make a comparison amongst three main approaches in data mining, i.e. Decision Tree (DT), Artificial Neural Network (ANN), and Rough Set Theory (RST). A comparative analysis of the above techniques has been conducted by using open source's software ROSETTA and WEKA on five different datasets. The sample sizes are categorized in relation to the number of attributes and number of instances available in the dataset. Assessments on the classification model are based on accuracy, amount and length of the generated rules, error rate and standard deviation. Based on nine experiments, results show that Artificial Neural Network provides better accuracy than Decision Tree and Rough Set approach while Rough Set creates more rules and Decision Tree generate rules faster than the compared techniques. The results show the trade off of using different approaches for other researchers in finding the best model for a particular problem.

    Rainfall data from rain-gauge stations suffers the risk of being missing due to factors such as human negligence, faulty equipment and disasters. In this paper, complete monthly rainfall data from 1985 to 1992 in Payakangsar station is used as the base data to determine the appropriate method for handling missing data. A portion of this complete data is then omitted at random by as much as 5%, 10% and 15% of the total number of data. Three methods of missing data replacement are considered that is, replacement of the missing data with zero (NR), single imputation (SI) and multiple imputation (MI) methods. The Neyman-Scott Rectangular Pulse (NSRP) rainfall stochastic model is then fitted to the resulting data from these three methods. Data from the month of October and November are selected for further analysis as these two months represent the months with highest rainfall amount received. To assess the performance of these three methods, a goodness-of-fit test based on the mean absolute error is applied. ...

Metode Yates merupakan metode pendugaan untuk menangani data hilang yang dilakukan dengan meminimumkan jumlah kuadrat error, sedangakan metode Biggers merupakan metode pendugaan data hilang dengan pendekatan matrik. Kemudian untuk mengatasi error pada jumlah kuadrat perlakuan diperlukan tabel analisis varian alternatif sebagai alternatif analisis data hilang pada RBRL dan mengetahui pengaruh perlakuan terhadap respon pengamatan.     This paper aims to estimate Neyman-Scott rectangular pulse (NSRP) modeling application in representing the storm rainfall that occurred in Peninsular Malaysia. This research utilized hourly rainfall data from 48 rain gauges in Peninsular Malaysia during the period from 1970 to 2008. The raingauge stations are given in four territories, namely northwest, west, southwest, and east. The goodness-of-fit test from NSRP model should be done before the other applications of the model. The conclusion of this research revealed that NSRP model is able to show the rainfall data in Peninsular Malaysia.

We classify tweets into three music genre categories (jazz, pop, or rock) and three sentiments (positive, negative, or neutral) using Support Vector Machine (SVM). Tweet text classification includes user text, retweet text, mention, hashtag, emoticon, and link (URL).     This study focuses on describing spatial analysis for the important statistics (mean and probability rain) and the storm behavior by using Neyman-Scott Rectangular Pulse (NSRP) parameters in Peninsular Malaysia, based on huorly rainfall data from 50 selected rainfall stations which include four subregions, namely northwest, west, southwest, and east for the periods of 1970 to 2008. The results of this study proved that NSRP model is able to imitate the pattern of actual rainfall in Peninsular Malaysia by comparing the parameters as well as the spatial distribution of the means and probabilities of 1 and 24-hour rain. Thus, results from the NSRP model fitting for each station are valid to be used in further analysis that is to evaluate the behavior of storm rainfall. Moreover, that almost all areas on northwest, west and east regions experienced mean of rain 24 hours < 45 mm, and that the largest was observed in southwest on November, December, and January with value > 0.51.

    This research focuses on image recognition of beef and pork. Beef as an example of halal food, while pork as haram food, especially for Muslims. This study used PNN classification and feature extraction methods. These images show some fundamental differences between pork and beef which based on colors and texture. Color was extracted by HSV model, otherwise texture extracted with 3 methods. These methods were Gabor, Principle Component Analysis (PCA) and Local Binary Pattern (LBP). Performance comparison of these methods was measured from the target accuracy of classification. Experiments conducted on 100 images of beef, pork and mixed, with attention to smoothing parameter (spread value/σ) in PNN and distribution data training and data testing. The best spread value obtained 10 for Gabor+HSV+PNN and LBP+HSV+PNN, but PCA+HSV+PNN was 108. The mixed meat was recognizable by PCA+HSV+PNN and LBP+HSV+PNN equal to 100%.     This study focuses on describing the spatial analysis for the important statistics (mean and probability rain) and the storm behavior by using Neyman-Scott Rectangular Pulse (NSRP) parameters in Peninsular Malaysia. The storm behaviors comprising of the arrivals storm (AS), the number of rain cells (NR), the rain cells intensity (RI), and the rain cells duration (RD) will be analyzed. Due to the limited number of stations, the geostatistical method of ordinary kriging is used to compute the values of properties of storm and to map their spatial distribution. The findings of this study indicate that there were differences in spatial distribution of arrival storm over Peninsula during both seasons, with the highest rate arrival storm over the east compared to other regions during the southwest monsoon (SWM).
