*Rough draft of updated book alfredredl.com* Recently digitized newspaper archives disprove journalist Egon Erwin Kisch's account of his breaking the Redl espionage scandal. “Die Zeit”, a newspaper associated with Archduke Franz Ferdinand by 1913, first gave authority to the rumors of Col. Alfred Redl's espionage in Austria-Hungary on May 27th. The archives show that the Foreign Ministry was more interested in burying the Redl story than the War Ministry. Initial attempts to bury the Redl scandal originated with Emperor Franz Joseph.

This paper builds on Graham Jefcoate's "Deutsche Drucker und Buchhändler in London, 1680-1811" [German Printers and Booksellers in London, 1680-1811] by providing a more comprehensive historical context for the information Jefcoate provided. I identify four German-funded 'active measures' espionage cells operating in London's publishing industry during 1705-1811. Influence on Lord Byron is explored.

This paper examines Plato's Symposium from the perspective of narcissistic 'love' relationships. Given the importance of the Symposium to the Western esoteric tradition, and recent scholarship highlighting how mystery cults have historically been used as covers for political praxis, reexamination of Plato's masterwork is timely and important.

The paper will be of interest to people studying the psychology of high-control groups or mystery cults.

Berliner Tagblatt was one of two newspapers to print a photograph of Colonel Alfred Redl in the days following his exposure as a spy. BT's photograph accompanied a retelling of the Narcissus story by Andres Oesterling, probably translated by Marie Herzfeld.

Sigmund Freud began writing his famous essay, "On Narcissism: An Introduction" around the time this Oesterling translation was published. Freud also sought to establish himself as the preeminent mental health contractor to the military, replacing Julius Wagner-Jauregg.

This paper examines Plato's "Symposium" from the perspective of narcissistic 'love' relationships and will be of interest to people studying the psychology of high-control groups or mystery cults. Given the importance of the "Symposium" to the Western Esoteric tradition, and recent scholarship highlighting how mystery-cults have historically
been used as covers for political praxis, reexamination of Plato's masterwork is timely and important. The paper concludes by looking at the military tactics which inspired Plato's "Symposium" and the influence that the "Symposium" had on Renaissance Esotericism through the patronage of Cosimo de'Medici.
This is a translation of "The Thinking Protein" by Isidor Sadger, which was originally published in German, 1897 in "Deutsche Revue". This is a working translation by Elizabeth Adams.

This is the paper which Sadger used to introduce himself to Sigmund Freud. It is a (very rough) restatement of what Paul Flechsig published the year before as "“Die Localisation der geistigen Vorgänge insbesondere der Sinnesempfindungen des Menschen." Readers will notice ideas contained within that Freud would later claim as his own in "On Narcissism" (1914).
