Due to the abstract nature of the data, including people's experiences in drama radio and radio broadcast fields, this study employs the interpretative phenomenological approach (IPA) to explore and understand these experiences. We used IPA to process qualitative data from interviews with nine participants who were actively involved in strengthening Javanese radio dramas. The study's findings indicate that participants' subjective experiences in the reinforcement movement provide an overview of the positive development of Javanese radio dramas. Several actions, such as raising awareness, writing scripts (through workshops and competitions), nurturing talent, producing audio, evaluating, and enhancing the community's role, sparked this development. These actions encourage the manager's optimism about restoring Javanese dramas as an important part of the Javanese people's identity. This research not only helps policymakers re-evaluate local cultural preservation and development programs, but it also opens up space for cultural movers in general to find alternative ways to prevent the degradation of Javanese culture in the digital era.

This study sought to examine the impact of PI and output-based activities with the mediating role of working memory (WM) capacity on learning English future tense. To this end, 99 subjects with preintermediate command of English based on an Oxford Placement Test were recruited for the study, and they were divided into three groups: PI, output, and control, with 33 learners in each group. Using a reading-span test, it was revealed that 14 subjects in the PI group, 15 participants in the output group, and 13 learners in the comparison group had low WM, while the rest individuals had high WM capacity. Then, a two-way between-group analysis of variance and a Bonferroni adjustment post hoc test were performed. The results of the analyses showed that both PI and output groups outperformed the control group. Additionally, there was no difference in grammar gain between PI and output groups. Besides, learners with high WM outperformed low WM individuals. The pedagogical implication of this research is that PI and output-based activities can assist teachers in implementing effective strategies to raise L2 learners' knowledge and consciousness.

Olenka is considered to bring a new style to the world of Indonesian novels and was even named the best novel in 1983 by the Jakarta Arts Council. Olenka's novel has a very simple but effective theme. The basic plot is about the bitterness of life, the failure of humans to understand identity, and the humanity of humans who are powerless to face destiny (God). One of the new styles that Olenka brings is in her language style, which according to critics is truly eccentric, unusual, free, agile, spontaneous and flowing. According to Bakhtin, a Russian philosopher and literary expert, these unique, strange or unusual elements are elements of what is called carnival behaviour. This book examines Olenka's uniqueness using Bakhtin's perspective, including through an analysis of the composition, characters, author, ideology, and intertextual dialogue. This book is useful not only for Olenka readers, literary practitioners, and literary observers, but also for researchers, students, students, and the general public who are interested in understanding a unique point of view on the meaning of literary works.

The fact shows that, despite being already long issued, the UU's issuance tends to have less positive response. This indifferent response is most likely caused by several reasons, including the absence of the sanction provisions, the lack of any other derivatively and operationally consecutive regulation, the people's indifferent attitudes toward their own language, and a mutually influential intervention from local, national, and global interests. Therefore, for the UU to have positive responses, it is expected to shortly issuing more specific regulation, including the provision of sanction sections, the attempts for increasing the people's attitudes and mind-sets in order for appreciating their own language, and the terms of the explicit and reasonable distributions of duty between the Central Goverment and Provincial Government. However, all of these would certainly be inadequate without supports from all groups of people, both government and public, especially that of the educated groups in the world of education.
This study discusses five aspects (intention, representation, expression, reference, projection) ... more This study discusses five aspects (intention, representation, expression, reference, projection) which build literary communication system (Gadis Tangsi Novels) based on postcolonial pragmatism theory. Intention analysis indicates that by writing the novel the author wanted to convey historical experience (colonial) and cultural past (kingdom) that could be used by readers as meaningful matter for the future. Representation analysis indicates that Gadis Tangsi novels represent colonial aspects in the form of power relations (dominative, tendentious, legitimate, emancipative, inspirational, compromising), identity (hybrid), mimicry (impersonation that undermines the essence of invaders), and resistance, which is against oneself. Expression analysis shows that colonial aspect of the novel is expressed verbally (narrative structure, space, time) and non-verbally (visual). Reference analysis points out that the colonial aspect of the novel can be a reference for the emergence of thematic ideas (ideological) of justice, wisdom, democratization, respect for oneself and others, dynamic, creativity, independence, national spirit, and insight into the future. Projection analysis indicates that the thematic ideas in this novel can be used as a projection medium for reader's life in developing character. Since this novel is loaded with positive ideas (character and value), Gadis Tangsi novels deserve to be teaching material in schools and literary study material in higher education grade.
This research aims to understand the characteristics of Budi Darma's Olenka novel by using dialog... more This research aims to understand the characteristics of Budi Darma's Olenka novel by using dialogical review. The understanding of the novel characteristic begins with the existence of reality in the Olenka which has many elements reflecting a behavior called carnival. Carnival is a behavior that signs a novel with polyphonic nature. The basic characteristic of being polyphonic is dialogical. To understand the characteristics of Olenka novel (the carnival, poly-phonic, and dialogic), therefore, it required dialogical analysis. The theoretical framework used in this research is dialogical theory given by Bakhtin. Based on this theory, the analysis is focused on three aspects, i.e., carnivalization and composition, the character and position of the author, and the representation of ideas. Because the dialogical nature of a polyphonic novel which however unites "heteroglosia" (various text, language, or genre) within itself, other aspect which should be analyzed is the relation of Olenka to other united texts. Based upon analysis several results are explained as follows. As a literary work, Olenka can be classified into a carnivalized literature being inclined to be polyphonic and dialogical. The polyphonic and dialogical natures of Olenka are particularly shown by its composition as like found in music one. If the music is composed of counterpoint and modulation, the Olenka composition is constructed with syncrisis and anacrisis. As found in counterpoint case in music, syncrisis is a blend of two or more different, sounds in the same appearance, meanwhile anacrisis is an element which motivates the creation of modulation, that is transitional process from one syncrisis to another in a text. Some syncrisis which build a plot are not established by the cause and effect relation, but by the contrapuntal one., The polyphonic and dialogical natures of Olenka are also particularly shown by intercharacters relation. The relation is not established by event, situation, or direct dialog, but by consciousness. The consciousness meansthat one character may come into other character's consciousness, and vice versa. But, in Olenka novel the author occupies an ambivalent position. The author may come into the character's consciousness, but he still keeps distance, the relation between the author and the character happens by means of a dialogical. Nevertheless, beyond the artistic text, the author explains anything about the character at all, their relation then is transformed into a monological. The similar things are also found in the form of representation of ideas and intertextual dialog. In fiction context (part I -V), the author can converse many other ideas that become object representation. But, all of the ideas eventually unite into the author's ideas because the author "forces" the character to accept all of the author's ideas as been shown by the explanation outside of the text (part VI- VII). The polyphonic and dialogical natures of Olenka, therefore, only achieves a certain level; in the sense that the characteristic of Budi Darma's novel is not equal to that of Dostoevsky's novels, the works in regard of the "final development" of polyphonic novel genre. Finally, it can comprehensively be concluded that a variety of carnival elements which carnivalizes the Olenka, in fact, does not claim itself as completely polyphonic and dialogical in nature.. The polyphonic and dialogical natures of Olenka are only limited to par-titular parts (I - V) implementing a construction of fiction world. If other part (VI - VII) in form of nonfiction is combined with, the polyphonic and dialogical natures of the novel move into monophonic and monological. Consequently, the Olenka novel only sounds a single voice, that is the voice of the author.

The study was conducted using a prophetic-sufistic approach. From all the analysis can be stated that as a Sufi writer, Danarto has written a lot of short stories that have a high prophetic spirit. Because of his spirit that he consciously embody the news of the apocalypse through the works of short stories in which present the world of sonya ruri. For, for him the world is most appropriate, because the prophetic spirit may only arise if the transformational vehicle is a world in which there is a common ground between the social dimension and the transcendental dimension. The study of the novel Market is done by using two approaches or theories at once, namely structural and pragmatic. Structural theory is used to solve the problem of how structural elements support the meaning of novels, and pragmatic theory is used as a guide to describe values or purposes that benefit the reader. And the result is that structurally Market novels display a social theme and the presence of the theme is supported by incidents of social incapacity. The incidence of social incapacity itself occurs because of decadent social and moral behavior. The emergence of moral and social decadence is the embodiment of human clenchedness in the condition of culture. According to them, the lack of literary studies is due to the literary theory often merely following the scientific principles of other fields of science (sociology, psychology, and the like). This means that it does not have hierarchical stages in the same way as in general science (knowledge, understanding, application, analysis, synthesis, evaluation), the way of literary understanding is synonymous with the talk of berteletele without any clear concept, and the absence of classification classification, taxonomy- taxonomy, and various definitions in literary theory that can be used as a benchmark. To address this question of doubt, this study focuses on a review of (1) the essence of literary works as the object of scientific study and (2) the essence of the study of literary scholarship. From the results of the study it is concluded that (1) the doubt about the literary scholar...

Can a person's or society's religious attitudes be seen through literary works that live in the society in question? This question certainly can be answered firmly: it can. Because, according to the sociologist of literature, literature is a mirror of society. As a reflection of society, literary works record everything (through the hands and thoughts of the author) that occur in a society. Therefore, it is believed that modern Javanese literary works also record and simultaneously describe various attitudes or behavior of Javanese society.

The basic concept used to analyze is the literary sociology especially developed by Hypolite Taine. Taine's paradigm is built on the assumption that literature can be "packed" from the material base of a society, including race, time, and environment. For Taine, literature is not just a personalized game of imagination, but a recording of the ways of his day. Therefore, certain societies can be claimed as the source or origin (genetic) of creation and birth of literature. Thus, consciously or unconsciously, literature always adapts or adapts to the tastes of its readers.

One indication of the ill fortune of Javanese literature is the weakness of the criticism system. The weakness of the criticism system is evident in the lack of publication of critical works. The lack of publication of the works of criticism is due to the tradition of criticism in society (literature) of Java is not running properly. Therefore, in order for modern Javanese literary critics to play a role in developing Javanese literature, Javanese literary critic should be promoted and bred in society, including at school (SLTP, SLTA). And this breeding needs real action and action, not just congress, but also the production and distribution of modern Javanese literary books on a large scale.

However, there are some things that make me - maybe also other readers - surprised. Firstly, in the midst of the hustle and bustle of people talking about "rocking" Inul Daratista vs. Rhoma Irama, then GAM in Aceh, Willy Soenarya's colleagues briefly raised the issue of "low levels of public appreciation (including youth, youth, and students) against literature ". Really the issue is very stale. For decades it has been complained and dealt with, but the results remain the same.

If necessary, who has the right to give it? What about the Education Office, Culture Department, Cultural Park, Regional Library, or Higher Education? Is not Permendagri No. 40 of 2007 which was followed by Law no. 24 Year 2009 has suggested in this era of autonomy should the local government also maintain the language and literature in their respective regions? This series of questions certainly not only requires an answer, but also need action. It's just that, until today, the situation is still cool, lonely.

Related to that, the first is the theoretical study, followed by theoretical constructs, indicators, grids, instruments, and ends with the format and model of the assessment (written test). Keep in mind that this is just one of many existing models, while other models also need to be developed.

The question was answered using the structural theory developed by Levi-Strauss. From the analysis results can be stated that structurally, the myth structure Dewi Sri has an analogical relationship with the structure of thinking community supporters, namely Surakarta community in particular and the general community of Java. Although the concept of Javanese life can not be observed with the eyes of the head, the concept can be felt in everyday life. Meanwhile, through the search for its direction, the concept of life of Javanese society is circular centered on one point, namely in sangkan paraning dumadi, suwung awang-uwung. In addition, it can be stated that the myth of Dewi Sri is one form of Javanese mind actualization to explain and even justify their actions. In an effort to legitimize their behavior, deeds, and customs, they (Javanese soci...

The short story chosen as the study material for this study is the short story that was published in Kompas Sunday. The notion of stylistics, language styles, and scope of the study in this study will not be presented at length, but only briefly described. The point is that this study does not seem theoretical, but rather as a practical study. Therefore, after the stylistic sense, style, and scope of the study are briefly described, the discussion goes directly to the stylistic aspects of the short story "Dinding Waktu". The stylistic aspect (style of language) analyzed does not cover the whole, but is limited only to the dominant aspect.
