    This study ascertained the effect of corporate governance compositions on timeliness of financial reporting in deposit money banks in Nigeria. Ex Post Facto research design was employed for this study. Purposive sampling was used to select eight (8) deposit money banks in Nigeria with international authorization. Data were extracted from annual reports and accounts of the sampled banks and analyzed with regression analysis. The results show that board size has a positive and significant effect on financial reporting timeliness deposit money banks in Nigeria, while audit committee independence has a positive but insignificant effect on financial reporting timeliness of deposit money banks in Nigeria. Therefore, on the basis of the findings and conclusions of the study, the study recommends among other things that the number of banks board of directors should play a vital role in how well it can oversee daily operations of the institution and monitor management.

    This study examined the effect of voluntary environmental disclosure on the corporate performance of quoted consumer goods manufacturing firms in Nigeria. The study specifically examined the effect of voluntary disclosure on the current ratio and quick ratio. The study used the ex post facto research design. The population of the study was drawn from selected consumer good manufacturing firms quoted on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. The study was based on secondary sources of data, collected from annual financial reports. The study found that voluntary disclosure is positively related to the current ratio and a quick ratio of quoted manufacturing companies in Nigeria. The study recommended among others that to further fortify corporate governance practices among firms, there should be severe execution of Nigerian Stock Exchange sustainability disclosure guidelines for manufacturing firms.

    This study determine the impact of forensic accounting in combating fraudulent activities in order to ensure good corporate governance practice in Nigerian banking sector. Data collected were analyzed by use of means and standard deviation and the three hypotheses formulated were tested by the use of Z-test statistical tool. Findings show that E-taxation can enhance internally generated revenue and reduce the issue of tax evasion in Enugu state.     This study assesses the cost management on corporate operating performance in Nigerian manufacturing companies. Specifically, the study ascertained the significant effect between cost management, operating profit and earnings per share of Nigerian corporate firms. Time series data was used. Data for the study were extracted from five years Annual accounts and reports of five(5) food production companies. Simple Regression Analysis was used with the aid of SPSS version 20.0 in testing the hypotheses. The study discovered that there is a significant effect between cost management, operating profit and earnings per share in Nigerian corporate firms. Based on this, the study recommends that Nigerian corporate firms should adopt modern strategic cost management method for effective operation to enable them to be at advantage in competing with their contemporaries in foreign country.

    This study assessed the extent to which we can rely on the Altman Model to predict possibility of corporate bankruptcy/ failure in Nigerian banking sector. Data were collected from annual reports and accounts of the banks. Altman prediction was applied. Findings show that the Model was capable of measuring accurately the failure potential of sound and healthy banks. Findings also show that Altman bankruptcy prediction Model could have successfully predicted the failure of the banks that actually went under in the Nigerian banking sector.     This paper assessed the impact of dividend policy on shareholder"s wealth. The objectives of the study are; to ascertain the significant relationship between dividend policy and corporate performance whether it will enhance their profitability and attract investors to the firm. Data obtained from 2006 to 2012 annual reports and accounts of the companies in Nigerian Stock Exchange. Regression (ANOVA) was applied with the aid of statistical package for social sciences (SPSS). Findings show that there is a significant relationship between the companies earning Per Share; dividend Per Share and corporate performance. It is therefore recommends that Organizations should ensure that they have a robust dividend policy in place because it will enhance their profitability and attract investments to the organizations.

With countries in various stages of lockdown or loosening confinement periods, it is becoming clear that the pandemic has particularly impacted on small and medium enterprises (SMEs).  Based on the available information, it shows that during this pandemic, most of these enterprises found it difficulties to operate, especially with small and medium enterprises where these problems are more serious as a result of the considerable decline in the demand for goods and services. This required SMEs to embark on internet-based platforms services as alternative means of sustaining their business during these critical periods. On this note, tax breaks should be given to all SMEs by the government at all level to sustain the growth of small and medium enterprises.

    This study examined the application of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in efficiency and speeding up of accounting practice in Nigeria and how this has ensure efficient delivery of accounting works. Survey method was adopted and questionnaire was the major source of data collection.     This study assessed globalization on the development of commercial banks in Nigeria. Survey research design was adopted.     This study investigates the effect of audit quality on the financial performance of deposit money banks in Nigeria. The study adopted ex post facto research design, data for the study were collected from annual reports and accounts of quoted Nigerian deposit money banks. Regression analysis and coefficient correlation were employed to test the formulated hypotheses. Findings revealed that there is a significant effect between audit quality and financial performance of Nigerian deposit money banks. Based on this, the study recommends among others that the management of deposit money banks in Nigeria should increase the number of foreign directors that have skills, experience and would like to protect their integrity, reputation and professional competence.     This study assesses the effect of operating cash flow on earnings management of Nigerian Banks. The study adopted Ex post Facto research design. The study used sample of fifteen (15) Nigerian banks from 2010 to 2019. Data for the study was collected from annual reports and accounts of the banks. Regression analysis was used to test the hypothesis with the aid of E-view 9.0. Based on this, the study revealed that operating activities are not statistically significant and have a negative effect on total accruals earnings of Nigerian banks. The study concludes that the importance of risk management activities is aimed at reducing future cash flow. Based on this, the researcher recommended among others that managers should be more likely to opportunistically boost operating cash flows if the firm has a cash flow forecast like engaging in principal financing source for maintaining the operating capability of the entity in terms of repaying loan and making new investment.
