I lecture on modern art, specialising in the interrelationship between modern and contemporary art and philosophical ideas such as existentialism and postmodernism. I am also a playwright and poet. I have published two full length collections of poems: Acrobats of Sound and Typicity. I have also published two pamphlets of poems with illustrations by the artist Daniel Goodwin: The Ventriloquist Dummy's Lament and Wreck of the Jeanne Gougy.edit
