    This article describes the way the employee assistance program (EAP) meets profound unconscious needs in the work force. British object relations theory will be used to analyze how the employee assistance program provides a feeling of safety, opportunities for reparation, good enough mothering, and holding. Case examples will illustrate how this happens.

In this article, the group program established for federal enlployees as part of the Federal Employee Counseling Service in New York City is shown to bc an essential component of the total service.

    This article describes the way the employee assistance program (EAP) meets profound unconscious needs in the work force.
