Malaysia is known as halal hub and always being referred by other countries regarding halal issue. One of the popular industries recently that focuses on halal compliance is tourism, particularly hotel industry. Many hotel providers have intention to apply for halal certificate specially to attract the Middle-east tourists. In this industry, employees are one of the most important elements in sharia-compliant hotel (SCH), as they need to understand the implementation of “sharia-compliance.” This study investigates the level of job satisfaction among employees who are working in SCH. 100 employees from three SCH were involved in the survey. They were asked about the level of satisfaction working in SCH. The findings showed, among four aspects of job satisfaction, the management condition was the most influential factor. Then followed by the following aspects: the use of their ability in the job, personal fulfillment and lastly job conditions.

The objectives of this paper is two fold. Firstly, it aims at finding students’ perceptions on the learning of English vocabulary in Al-Ghazali on Islamic Guidance or Bidayatul Hidayah, which is a great scripture of Islam written by Al-Imam Muhammad Bin Muhammad Bin Muhammad Bin Ahmad Alghazali Attusi or also known as Imam Al-Ghazali R.A. Secondly, it is to obtain students’ perceptions on the problems that occurred thoroughout the teaching and learning activities and how to improve them. This qualitative research adopts two techniques – observation and interview. It is discovered that majority of students show great interest to learn English through this scripture and their knowledge on English vocabulary has generally improved. The researcher also identifies the problems and lists the possible recommendations for improvement of such activity in the future. The objectives of this preliminary work on the Islamic creativity concept are to reassess the role of bid‘ah in creating creative and innovative Muslim through its conceptual and understanding framework; discover the relationship between bid‘ah and the advancement of Islamic civilization; and discuss its necessity positively as highlighted in the approach of avoiding extremism or “duna ifrat wa la tafrit” in building a just and balanced Muslim society (ummatan wasatan). By employing the qualitative method through content analysis in evaluating the necessary and relevant reports, articles and texts, it is hoped that this paper will offer a distinctive perspective of bid‘ah, its positive role and contribution in contemporary Muslim society.

Data were collected using questionnaires, and the constructs used were developed from prior research and previously-tested for reliability. A total of 147 questionnaires were analysed from the respondents in this study. Descriptive statistics were used to analyse the characteristics of the respondents, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, while the multivariate technique which was employed was regression. Reflective prism display is a display technology that has potentials in displaying images with fascinating effects. However, the process of creating the display is quite challenging considering the lack of specialized software and bulky hardware setup. In this project, we propose a software toolkit plugin for Unity 3D, called Prismatic, to simplify the process as an alternative over the conventional method of creating a reflective prism display. Adopting the idea from Pepper’s ghost technique, a combination of four cameras facing an object were setup within Unity to produce four viewport renderings of the object, easily projected from a device as small as a smartphone to the size of widescreen TVs. This software toolkit combined with Unity offer simple and centralized control over camera, facets, and object. Prismatic has the potential in assisting apps developer in creating the display such as in showcasing models for education and business purposes.

Kreativiti merupakan kebolehan semulajadi untuk menghasilkan idea dan kemungkinan yang baharu dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Ia merupakan kemahiran penting yang perlu dipraktikkan oleh pelajar di peringkat pengajian tinggi dan boleh diasah menerusi pelbagai teknik dan metode pengajaran yang tertentu. Kajian yang dijalankan adalah bertujuan untuk mengukur kreativiti di kalangan 30 orang pelajar di Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM). Instrumen kajian yang digunakan adalah set borang soal selidik yang diubahsuai berdasarkan Ujian Pemikiran Kreatif Torrance untuk menguji kriteria kreativiti iaitu tahap kreativiti, amalan kreativiti dan kreativiti dari perspektif Islam. Data yang diperolehi telah dianalisis mengunakan kaedah statistik deskriptif dan inferens. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa tidak terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan dalam tahap dan amalan kreativiti dari segi jantina bagi kajian dasar dan pascaujian.
