Considerata una delle più importanti autrici rumene degli ultimi decenni, Ruxandra Cesereanu è, i... more Considerata una delle più importanti autrici rumene degli ultimi decenni, Ruxandra Cesereanu è, in primo luogo, una personalità plurivalente, che ha avuto sempre la tendenza a reinventarsi, aspetto evidente nella sua scrittura che orchestra numerose voci e proiezioni immaginative e ideatiche. Nel caso di Ruxandra Cesereanu assistiamo, d'altronde, al passaggio graduale da una poesia noir di fattura post-surrealista (in L'Oceano Schizoidiano, 1998) e confessional-sanguigna (in coma, 2008) a una poesia che presuppone l'impegno in problematiche sociopolitiche o che mira al rapporto tra l'umano e la tecnologia. In Sophia Romania (Casa de Editură Max Blecher, 2021), il suo volume più recente, leggiamo una serie di «ballate postumane» (così le definisce l'autrice), che spesso incorporano il ludico e l'ironia di fattura postmoderna, esplorando intuitivamente le nuove possibilità dell'umano di fronte all'iper-tecnologia. In fondo, ciò che viene proposto al lettore in questo volume è una «epifania» post-e trans-umana, attraverso la quale il robot Sophia diventa una sintesi o finanche una definizione della bellezza e della poesia nei nuovi contesti culturali. Mediante alcune dimensioni ingegnosamente ibridate (da quella cultural-erudita e sociopolitica fino a quella tecno-immersiva e mito-poetica), Sophia Romania illustra in modo impeccabile la visione stratigrafica (in senso geocritico) specifica della poesia di Ruxandra Cesereanu, che presuppone sempre un'avventura labirintica, di giustapposizione e ricostruzione costante di alcune immagini socio-identitarie. Love's Cosmic Nature in Latin Erotic Elegy and Surrealism) Space of the discursive birth of the e... more Love's Cosmic Nature in Latin Erotic Elegy and Surrealism) Space of the discursive birth of the ego following a cosmogonic model (implying an agon of desire, but also the agony of extinction, which, in Heroide, acquires apocalyptic proportions), the Latin erotic elegy exposes an anatomy of love with an archetypal substrate, the conciliation of psychic opposites (coincidentia oppositorum) via disconcerting sensory and emotional operations evolving into the turntable of subjectivity. The erotic internalisation of the antiquity structure (with its specific representations of the limit, measure, proportion, insecurity of confrontation and securing conciliation) makes the ego arise as a cosmic event or a subjectivation of the cosmos, transferring the pattern of order and disorder to the elegiac love. Always balanced between the self and the other, in a vertigo of collapses and triumphs, this in-love-ego experiences amplified crises as fullness; thus, love becomes a kind of a total object of the unconscious (world-making and world-collapsing alternating in erotic agony). It is precisely the fullness of elegiac love (internalized construction of the cosmos) that forms the link with the capital, full, mad love of the surrealists, at the end of the history of modern subjectivity. The inexplicable magnetic surreal love (coup de foudre), with the suite of Destiny coincidences and objective chance, puts into crisis the entire psychic universe (which, through successive historical elaborations of subjectivity, ends up substituting the ancient outer cosmos), reflecting (or illuminating) an anatomy of desire similar to that of the elegiac: the archetypal eroticized and sustained antagonisms (animus-anima) oscilate in this full love through a subtle web of energies released as a result of the exploding psyche.

Abstract: (The Postmodern Metamorphoses of a Classical Myth of the Contrast. Ruxandra Cesereanu’s... more Abstract: (The Postmodern Metamorphoses of a Classical Myth of the Contrast. Ruxandra Cesereanu’s Kore-Persefona in a Double Interpretation, Archetypal and Psychoanalitic) In the first part of this study (Giovanni Magliocco), the myth of Kore-Persephone in Ruxandra Cesereanu’s poetry will be analysed through an archetypical perspective. The mythical phenomenology of Kore-Persephone and the cyclical transmutations of her uncanny and cleaved identity demonstrates that the two hypostases of the Goddess are placed under the sign of the Double Self. Persephone’s nekyia, which dialectically opposes itself to Kore’s anabasis, is outlined not only as a torturing descensus in her disturbing interiority, but also as a fall without salvation in the darkest meanders of her neurosis. The infernal underworld of Persephone, “The House of Hades” where the Goddess sinks progressively, is not an eschatological realm of the future, but rather a psychological realm of the present, sharing a deep and occult isomorphism with the image of the “Schizoidian Ocean” as it has been developed in the homonymous poetry collection published in 1997. The second part of this paper (Ilona Duță) will demonstrate that, illustrated by the mythical imagery of doubles, the psychic scenario unfolded in this volume represents a foray into the ego’s inner fracture and, at the same time, an attempt to alleviate or heal through the archetype’s power of representation, since it can save the individual from decay precisely by its universal nature (it acts as a true symbolic matrix). An erotic drama, bridal par excellence, this mythical scenario captures, however, the occurrence of the breach or Thanatos amid the unifying representation of Eros: the series of dual identities as regards the female identity (the anima) in the figure of Kore-Persephone and the male identity (the animus) in the alternating men Korin-Haidos, respectively, is symptomatic of the impossibility of unifying and harmonizing psychism. The final outbreak of the delirium is the evidence of the psychic truth in spite of any nuptials.
