New Media

Today children are bombarded with powerful images, words, and sounds from various media, which are designed to win their minds and hearts. Adults can use their vast experience and education, as filters to navigate these powerful messages. For  children it is difficult. For them mass media is everywhere, all the time in school, at home, at shopping malls, in parks. They are growing up in a media saturated environment and with this burgeoning media availability came the problems like media’s connection to increasing obesity, body dissatisfaction, aggressive behavior, promoting stereotypes etc. Out of all these problems people seem to have been complaining about violence in the media a lot. Newspaper, Television, video games and social networking sites are loaded with the violet content in the form of news, stories and innumerable games with the violent streak. Few years back after the school shootings at columbine, newspapers and magazines articles began to decry the negative effects of violent programmes and video games on young people. Same happened in India few years back when class IX student shot at a school mate with an air gun after a small tiff during cricket match. Majority of the people started blaming media content for such incidents. In this paper the issue of media violence will be addressed by focusing on two fundamental topics underlying the issue. First, the topic of effects will be analyzed and then the topic of the nature of violence in the media will be analyzed. The purpose of this paper is to expand perspective on media violence so that we have better informed opinion about media violence.
While examining the issue of Media Violence and negative impact of the same on children, the concept of media literacy and the role of teachers will be discussed.

This study likes to examine the Facebook posts of Media organizations of 2015, which were related to Indian Muslims and having more than one thousand comments. For this research, the pattern of Corpus-Assisted Discourse Studies (CADS) has been used and the words ‘Muslim’, ‘Musalman’ and ‘Islam’ are being used as topic modeling. The work deals with the heading of the Muslim related posts posted on the Facebook page of Indian Media organizations and their comments, shares and posts.

Online hate speech, threats of violence and negative image construction processes have become the key activities on several social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp etc. The social media players are targeting people and communities on the basis of casts, religion, demography etc. regularly in several parts of the world. In the meantime, Indian Muslims are also portrayed in several manners on social media platforms. This paper examines those Facebook posts from January 2014 to December 2014, which are targeted at Indian Muslims. For this research, the pattern of Corpus-Assisted Discourse Studies (CADS) has been used. Through this pattern, the researchers combine topic modeling and critical discourse analysis around the words ‘Muslim’, ‘Musalman’ and ‘Islam’. The findings revealed some interesting characteristics, which helped the researcher to create a typology of 46 related subjects of Muslims espoused on Facebook. The findings also present the types of people or pages or groups, who are involved in spreading such type of hate posts.

TablighiJamaat in India was identified as the main culprit to spread Corona or COVID-19. The Indian government and other Indian state governments took action against them. Indian Mainstream media spread news against Tablighi, and the people associate with it continuously. Social Media platforms also became the tool to spread hate against Tablighi, Muslims, and Islam. This study reveals the social identity construction theory of Psychology and wants to examine the identity constructed by Facebook posts of Tablighi and Indian Muslims. For this research, the pattern of Corpus-Assisted Discourse Studies (CADS) has been used, and the words 'Tablighi' and 'NizamuddinMarkez' in English and Hindi languages are being used as topic modeling. The finding reveals that social media users think that the people associated with Tablighi are anti-national, antisocial , uneducated, etc., and spread COVID-19 intensely.

The abrogation of Article 370 and the division of the state into two Union Territories – Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh – on August 5, 2019, was a landmark event. The repeal of Articles 370 and 35A resulted in the abolishment of 170 state laws and initiative of 160 central laws allowing the region to move forward with economic growth and prosperity. Since 2019, significant initiatives have been taken by the central as well as the state government for the development of Jammu & Kashmir. In the month of October and November, 2019, Jammu & Kashmir government issued full-page advertisement related to the benefits of single constitution. In this paper, the researcher has analysed the texts of all the government advertisements in major newspapers published from the Jammu and Kashmir region.

In these chapters the concept, mechanism and theory of fear is analysed in a broad manner. The name Michael Bassey Eneyo is increasingly being linked to the philosophy of terror. He has earned a respectable place for himself on the sacred horizon of the idea of terror. He has contributed significantly to the field of "fearology," which is the philosophy of fear.
This book states that fear is a complicated feeling molded by our beliefs, experiences, and subconscious mind rather than just a straightforward reaction to immediate threat. Fear is a very complicated emotion that arises from a series of dangers put on the mind by experiences and fantasies of the outside world. This element of fear leads to phobias, which are extreme dread of certain things or circumstances that are frequently out of proportion to the harm they actually provide. Humans naturally sense fear and everyone is curious in how to properly use the rule of fear in our day-to-day experiences. From a philosophical standpoint, fear is an important window into the nature of humanity. It is a phenomenon that permeates every aspect of human existence, guiding judgments and shaping actions at the individual and social levels.
