Dem form Achiase District from de existing Birim South District wey dem inaugurate am for 22 February 2019 insyd.[4] Since den, dem split de Afram Plains District into two wey dem rename am as Kwahu Afram Plains North District plus capital wey be Donkorkrom den Kwahu Afram Plains South District plus ein capital wey be Tease. De Akuapim South District, East Akim District den Kwahu West Districts upgrade go Municipal status plus de addition of Birim Central Municipal District wey be entirely fresh.
