12% VAT & 11/12 DPP adjustment
==============================

Effective January 1, 2025, Indonesia's VAT rate increased from 11% to 12%. To help reduce the
impact of this increase on non-luxury goods and services, VAT is calculated using *DPP nilai lain*
(:dfn:`tax base of other value`), where the taxable base is set at 11/12 of the original (untaxed)
price.

Tax settings
------------

Adjusted DPP computation applies to invoice lines with taxes categorized under the
:guilabel:`Non-luxury Good Taxes (ID)` tax group and is shown as
:guilabel:`DPP Other Value (11 / 12)` on the customer invoices and their printouts. To configure
this, go to :menuselection:`Accounting --> Configuration --> Taxes`, and select the tax
that uses the 11/12 base computation. Then, in the :guilabel:`Advanced Options` tab, select
:guilabel:`Non-luxury Good Taxes (ID)` in the :guilabel:`Tax Group` field.

Make sure to :ref:`upgrade <general/upgrade>` the :guilabel:`Indonesian - Accounting` module if
:guilabel:`Non-luxury Good Taxes (ID)` is not in the list of tax groups.
