  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.

Blocked

[edit]

I have blocked you until you stop using large language models (LLM), such as ChatGTP to write talk page comments. These edits by you, yesterday, were clearly written by a LLM of some sort: [1][2] If you would like to request being unblocked you can use {{unblock}}. -- Guerillero Parlez Moi 10:21, 19 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I've noticed that this user has been consistently doing this a very long time.[3][4][5][6][7][8][9] Skitash (talk) 13:19, 19 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hello, I am writing to request that my account be unblocked. I understand that I was blocked for concerns that I have used a Large Language Model (LLM), I would like to clarify the situation and address any concerns. Firstly, I acknowledge the importance of Wikipedia's guidelines on ensuring that all contributions are original, and I want to assure you that it is not my intention to violate these policies. Going forward, I will ensure that all my contributions, especially talk page comments and article edits, are less formal, free from the use of conceived AI-generated content. I apologize for any confusion or disruption caused and I am committed to following Wikipedia's rules moving forward. I kindly ask for another chance to contribute to the project constructively, and I will refrain from using any external tools in my future edits. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Potymkin (talk) 12:12, 19 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You've used AI to make this unblock request, clearly showing you are not aware of why you were blocked and also making it clear you won't stop doing it. Dreamy Jazz talk to me | my contributions 13:15, 19 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

AI generated, this borders on trolling now. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 13:02, 19 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hello, I am writing again to request that my account be unblocked. while I understand that this may stem from rightful concerns to maintain wikipedia's guidelines, I am being judged by users using external tools to detect Large Language Model (LLM) which may often be unreliable and in this case cause inconvenience my part. the notion of using an AI tool to appeal for a few lines of text for a unblock request appeal is not only ridiculous but it also undermines my position further to gain concensus on the matter, whether using formal or informal talk on wikipedia, I find that it is possible to harass users using wikipedia LLM detectors from external sources to undermine their speaking points and potentially lead them down the line of banning and restrictions. being accused again even during ban appeals of using AI, It is extremely offensive to be accused in such a manner of AI anot not take it personally, to undermine anyone's position on their talking points and that lead me to open an arbitration case in the first place, this is a personal attack on me and I am writing this strong worded unban appeal request because of it. So again, I will ensure that all my contributions are less formal because clearly that makes it AI generated and also free from the use of conceived AI-Generated content such as lines of text with many adjectives like this ban appeal. I apologize for for any confusion caused and I am ready to follow wikipedia's rules. I kindly ask for another chance to contribute more adjective filled senseless paragraphs that show 0% AI-generation such as this one. sincerely Potymkin (talk) 13:52, 19 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I don't think you're apology is sincere. You seem to be saying that 1) you didn't actually use AI and 2) if you did it's justifiable. I don't think it's a good idea to unblock you. 331dot (talk) 15:01, 19 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you:
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 21:49, 19 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
