Was she the "first nurse to earn a Ph.D" or "the first person to earn a Ph.D. in nursing". I strongly suspect the later is really what is meant. I find it hard to believe that no person who was a nurse had ever before earned a Ph.D. in any subject, which we would need to be able to document to really say the first statement.John Pack Lambert (talk) 18:37, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
