Hi. Can someone give some care and love to Cora Sue Collins please?

I would be grateful if some people with subject knowledge could assess the sweeping edits currently being done to that article. I'm getting the impression that this is the wholesale replacement of one interpretation with another, based on very selective sources, but I simply don't know the subject area. In any case I suspect these big deletes/replacements need some talk page discussion before being implemented. - Also notified WikiProject Islam. --Elmidae (talk · contribs)

GA from 2006, it was't reassessed. Half of the article is unsourced, with 'This article needs additional citations for verification.' on top, 5 'citation needed' tags and two 'This section does not cite any sources' templates (Female Peronist Party and women's suffrage and Honours), see also unsourced sections: Juan Perón's arrest, 1946 presidential election, European tour, Vice-presidential nomination, Re-election and Spiritual Leader of the Nation; and 19 'page needed' tags. Delist - Article needs a lot of work to be kept as a GA. Onegreatjoke (talk) 21:50, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Good article reassessment for Mary McLeod Bethune

[edit]

Mary McLeod Bethune has been nominated for a good article reassessment. If you are interested in the discussion, please participate by adding your comments to the reassessment page. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, the good article status may be removed from the article. Z1720 (talk) 04:19, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'd love to keep this one green. Based on my availability and other commitments, I'd give myself a 50/50 chance of getting the article to a Keep. Is there anyone who can take lead on this and be more dedicated to it? I'd be happy to play a supporting role. Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 04:28, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for posting here which called my attention to this important article. I fixed a few missing citations and will look at it again when I get back from traveling. Nnev66 (talk) 15:12, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, sorry to bother, I hope the entry about geji, a female performer in ancient China, can be added to one of the women's history sections.

[edit]

。I'm really sorry, but I think the Geji group of female performers is also part of the history of women, so I hope it can be added to the label of women's history. This entry is not perfect now. I have been slowly improving it, but due to controversy, I cannot edit it now. The sexual issues of this group of female performers are being held up. Some people must define them as sex workers and must think that all of them are prostitution. For the specific situation and explanation, please read all I said in the discussion forum, if it is convenient.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:G%C4%93j%C3%AC I hope someone can have a discussion and define the identity of this group of female performers, rather than them continuing to be exported as they are now.I know this is presumptuous, but if anyone could help, I'd really appreciate it, thanks.Sorry to bother. 清风与明月 (talk) 16:31, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Women in Green's October 2024 edit-a-thon

[edit]

Hello WikiProject Women's History:

WikiProject Women in Green is holding a month-long Good Article Edit-a-thon event in October 2024!

Running from October 1 to 31, 2024, WikiProject Women in Green (WiG) is hosting a Good Article (GA) edit-a-thon event with the theme Around the World in 31 Days! All experience levels welcome. Never worked on a GA project before? We'll teach you how to get started. Or maybe you're an old hand at GAs – we'd love to have you involved! Participants are invited to work on nominating and/or reviewing GA submissions related to women and women's works (e.g., books, films) during the event period. We hope to collectively cover article subjects from at least 31 countries (or broader international articles) by month's end. GA resources and one-on-one support will be provided by experienced GA editors, and participants will have the opportunity to earn a special WiG barnstar for their efforts.

We hope to see you there!

I recently ran a script to find pages which had over 100 links to wikibios of men, and ZERO links to wikibios of women. These were the historical pages I found:

  1. Dutch East India Company (183 links to men, 0 to women)
  2. Edo period (176 links to men, 0 to women)
  3. Plautus (129 links to men, 0 to women)
  4. Sixteen Kingdoms (125 links to men, 0 to women)
  5. Austria-Hungary (110 links to men, 0 to women)

None of these are historical topics I know anything about. But there must surely be some relevant historical women to mention, or some relevant women historians to cite on these topics. I'd love the horrific link imbalance on these pages to be attenuated! Dsp13 (talk) 22:41, 10 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
