Date of Battle of Ras al Khaima

[edit]

The article incorrectly dates this as 1819. The correct date is 1809, as stated in the linked article. I have corrected this. Ptilinopus (talk) 22:50, 9 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ras Al Khaimah

[edit]

A recent edit/revert raises an interesting point. Ras Al Khaimah in English is three words, all starting in caps. That's in UAE media, government websites, road signs and all. The only usage of Ras al-Khaimah I can find derives in some way from Wikipedia. I'm suggesting a move, basically, to Ras Al Khaimah. Alexandermcnabb (talk) 10:31, 28 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ras al-KhaimahRas Al Khaimah – per above and also this attempt to change the title; this indeed seems to be the name that is most commonly used in English (the WP:COMMONNAME). Many reliable sources reporting on this place as a tourist destination. wbm1058 (talk) 09:03, 22 August 2018 (UTC) --Relisting. It is strange Howcome RAK doesn't recieve any raindrop in June, whereas the other months it does? Last time I was there on June 21, 2019, it actually rained in RAK, wasn't that recorded?
