In general, the brain and metabolism development are associated with biological logic in a similar pattern in childhood. The frontal lobe development occurs in children mainly from four to seven years old, the time in which the prefrontal area presents high growth, however, brain development in some cases could be precocious. Then, educational actions must be initialized as far as possible in order to not neglect a possible gifted student. Then, the purpose of this critical review is to study the high abilities. Lack of studies and policy for the treatment of gifted children in Brazil creates a waste of talents to support society. Gifted children in Brazil seem to suffer discrimination and attend schools unprepared to receive and to direct their high abilities.

Capuchin monkeys are known to exhibit sporadic bipedalism while performing specific tasks, such as cracking nuts. The bipedal posture and locomotion cause an increase in the metabolic cost and therefore increased blood supply to lower limbs is necessary. Here, we present a detailed anatomical description of the capuchin arteries and veins of the pelvic limb ofSapajus libidinosusin comparison with other primates. The arterial pattern of the bearded capuchin hind limb is more similar to other quadrupedalCebusspecies. Similarities were also found to the pattern observed in the quadrupedPapio, which is probably due to a comparable pelvis and the presence of the tail.Sapajus' traits show fewer similarities when compared to great apes and modern humans. Moreover, the bearded capuchin showed unique patterns for the femoral and the short saphenous veins. Although this species switches easily from quadrupedal to bipedal postures, our results indicate that the bearded capuchin has no spec...

In this work, the fundamental data will be placed as logically as possible within a simple, but not simplistic philosophy, therefore, the objective was to indicate the basic ontogenetic and phylogenetic data in terms of the evolutionary history of the vertebrate skull starting from the initial, often idealized, structures that formed the framework of the primitive vertebrate skull. Therefore, the methodology used was a literature review, in order to refine the information. From this methodology, the expected result was to reduce the excess or oversimplification of information that could fail in the teaching processes, to avoid the danger of errors of the interpretation. An overview with basic data, but well ordered in terms of substitutions and phylogenetic history is essential to prepare future scientists in the areas of morphology, taxonomy, evolution, comparative anatomy, paleontology, forensic anatomy; therefore, this text was builded objectively as possible to be consulted for ...
