Design/Methods/Approach: The approach in this research paper entailed a comparative legal analysis of the Serbian system with regard to public video surveillance and the use of recorded material as evidence in different procedures. Our research also examined reactions to the use of such material by various government agencies, such as the Ombudsman, the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection, as well as the procedures and activities of the police department when dealing with criminal investigations. This paper examines this issue from the perspective of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), the jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights, and their implementation in Serbia.

The study aims to determine the trust and presence of police officers in schools in Serbia, as well as the perception of the principals and secretaries, teachers and staff, parents and students on how successful the certain police units dedicated to schools were in fulfilling their tasks. The ex–post analysis was conducted through PEST/SWAT analysis, mapping of the key actors and using batteries of online questionnaires. Besides interviews with the MOI representatives, there were conducted: Survey with personal interviewing, Computer–aided surveying and Desk analysis and content analysis. The survey was conducted in the period from September 2021 to June 2022. The paper presents research aimed at analysing the frequency of verbal and vocal signs in a situation of false and true statements, by introducing a secondary task. The research involved 100 students (47 men and 53 women) of the master's studies of criminal investigation at the University of Criminal Investigation and Police Studies, aged 23-44. Students had the task, based on the observation of twenty selected videos (10 true statements and 10 false statements), to mark the frequency of each individual verbal and vocal sign, on a previously generated and prepared list. The results show that there is a statistically significant difference in terms of the frequency of all verbal and vocal signs in a false or true statement: response latency, speech hesitation, speech errors, speech rate, number of spoken words in the utterance, and length of utterance. The authors analyze the state of the cyber crime (VTK) area, which is tangent with a group of crimes against sexual liberties. The need for analysis comes from the specific position of the criminal codex group of crimes against sexual liberties. As a rule, they carry a significant social danger, and thus significant attention to the societal - social environment, as well as pressure to solve crimes and punish perpetrators. The authors give a view of the status of this area of criminality in the Republic of Serbia, compare it to the current state of criminality over a period of 10 years and 5 years respectively, and show that although these acts are not so prevalent in numbers, they carry many additional specifics. U radu su u formi prethodnog saopštenja prikazan rezultati svojevrsnog virtuelnog eksperimenta, zasnovanog na realnim događanjima koji su usledili nakon fiktivnog predstavljanja na serveru za ćaskanje ’’Krstarica’’. Radi se o serveru koji tekstualnu komunikaciju korisnika obavlja putem IRC (Internet RelayChatting) protokola. U svrhe ovog istraživanja kreiran je virtuelni lik maloletne Beograđanke, čiji je nadimak sugerisao starost od 12 godina (Ana12BG). Posredstvom IRC-a, preko pomenutog servera, virtuelna Ana posećivala je sobe #teen, #krstarica i #beograd i čekala uspostavljanje komunikacije od strane drugih korisnika, među njima i potencijalnih pedofila. Tokom 100 časova provedenih na mreži usledilo je 617 poziva za komunikaciju, među kojima je preko 70% bilo seksualno orjentisanih. Back in 2018, the University of Criminal Investigation and Police Studies entered its first Horizon 2020 project with 16 other partners from a total of 11 countries as an organization that trains members of the police in the Republic of Serbia. The project itself presents a unique undertaking in the EU and beyond. It is intended to be an exploration-oriented form of an online platform for searching the deep, surface, and dark internet to obtain data on the objects, connections between subjects and prove their relationships and activities. This platform is a unique tool in the fight against illegal trade of narcotics, new psychoactive substances, as well as counterfeit drugs, weapons, and ammunition, as well as terrorist financing.
