Where is DA PAM 25-30 (Consolidated Index of Army Publications and Blank Form)?
The [DA PAM 25-30] has been renamed to the [Army Publishing Index]. It has been migrated into the Army Publishing Directorate's new website.
The [Army Publishing Index] can be accessed through the "SEARCH" tab located on the APD Home Page menu bar. From the Search results,
click the [NUMBER] hyperlink located at the far left of the Search results page to obtain more detailed information regarding that Publication or Form.

How do I search the content of a Publication and Form by keyword?
APD website has a Content search feature that allows users to search APD hosted documents by keywords. To access content search locate the [SEARCH]
menu tab and select content search or by clicking here.
How can I receive a notification when a new regulation or update has been added to the APD website?
Recently, the website added an RSS feed feature that allows a user to receive a notification when there is a new publishing action.

Where on the website can I locate the meaning of acronym and terms when reading a publication?
You can find ABBREVIATIONS, BREVITY CODES, AND ACRONYMS (ABCA) by going to the Search menu dropdown on the APD website.
Why can't I open PDF Files on APD website?
Certain internet browsers may not display, or open some dynamic pdf files from the ArmyPubs website, therefore, it is advisable to download the pdf file first,
then open either the Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader. Please click

Where can I find Army electronic forms?
To access Department of the Army (DA) electronic forms, visit APD Web site .
To access Department of Defense Forms (DD Forms), click on DD Forms .
Standard Forms (SF) and Optional Forms (OF) are available on the
General Services Administration (GSA) Forms Library .
Please be aware of illegal forms on unofficial websites. Scammers are using these forms to steal Personal Identifying Information (PII),
such as birth date, social security number, etc. When filling out a form, please verify that it is an official form, from an official Government website.
A form should have an official title, a for use line that tells which publication prescribes the form, along with the proponent organization.
A form number and date will be in the lower left hand corner of the form. The lower right hand corner of the form will contain the version number.
Why are some fields not functioning correctly in DA fill-able PDF forms?
In order to get full functionality of the DA fill-able PDF forms, either Adobe Acrobat 10 and above or Adobe Reader 10 and above are required.

It returns 0 record because you didn’t use the correct acronym for DA Form. The correct acronym for a DA Form is “DA Form”.

How do you search for a Publication or Form by Title using Army Publishing Index?
Type in some words contained in the actual Title in the [Pub/Form Title] textbox and select the Search button.
How do I search by [Pub/Form Status] using Army Publishing Index?

Why am I getting an Adobe Acrobat DC security message when click a hyperlink in a downloaded PDF?
This is due to a recent security policy change. Any client who downloads a PDF from our website, will find that hyperlinks shown in the PDF are now non-functional.
However, if the PDF file opens in the clients browser, the hyperlinks within the PDF will be functional.
What are the submission requirements for Army administrative (policy and procedural) publications?
Only the organization’s Publishing Champion (PC) or Publications Control Officer (PCO) may submit a publishing request to APD. The submission packet must include the following:
♦ A completed DA Form 260 (Request for Publishing) -- signed in blocks 27 and 28 by the PC/PCO and reviewer points of contact documented in block 24
♦ DA Form 7874 (Armywide—Staffing Comment Resolution Matrix) with all staffing comments (accepted or not) posted
♦ Clean copy of the draft (no track changes)
♦ Figure files
♦ Completed DD Form(s) 67 (Form Processing Action Request)
Is there a single point of contact to get the required OAA coordination chop for administrative publications?
Armywide staffing is required in ETMS2. Please contact your organization’s staff action control office for staffing to OAA.
How do I submit a change request to an Army publication or form?
Each publication identifies on the cover page a proponent of the policy and provides a write-to or an electronic email address for customer use in making
comments/suggestions. Customers may record their comments on DA Form 2028 (accessible on the APD website under forms or enter their comments/suggestions directly
in the email or written correspondence.
What digital file formats does Army Publishing Directorate offer?
Digital files come in a variety of formats for use on various PC’s, tablets and eReader devices and software. Currently Adobe reader software is provided
to all Army's government furnished equipment (GFE) from the NETCOM’s Army Gold Master (AGM). However, at this time the AGM does not offer any supported eReader
software on the AGM for use on the GFE for reading the .epub formatted file type.
The Army Publishing Directorate (APD) publishes two digital file formats:
a) The [.pdf] format which requires the Adobe Reader software and Portable Document Format (PDF)
b) The eBook = [.epub] format and the EPUB

Put [AR 25-30] in the [Pub/Form Number] textbox and hit the Search button.

c. What happens if my search returns 0 records when I put [DA 1] in the [Pub/Form Number]?
You will return 0 records when the correct acronym is not used.
In this example, you should search (DA Form 1) instead of (DA 1). To validate if you are using the correct acronyms click
here.
d. How to search for a Pub/Form when you don’t know the entire [Pub/Form Number]?
If you do not know the complete Pub/Form number, you can put the acronym in the [Pub/Form Number] textbox.
For example, if you only remember “AR” then put AR in the [Pub/Form Number] textbox and hit the Search button.

e. Can you search the Army Publishing Index by title?
Yes, you can try to put some of the words contained within the actual Title in the [Pub/Form Title] textbox and hit the Search.
If you do not find the Publication you are looking for and its hosted Publication is on the APD website,
you can also try searching the Publication or Form via keyword through our content search feature located by clicking
here.
f. What are the many items I can search for a Publication or Forms through the Army Publishing Index?
You can search the Index quickly by only filling in one field item. For example, a few search options would be IDN, Proponents, Unit(s) of Issue,
Pub/Form Status, date filter and PIN. Each item will return 5000 amount of search results.
g. Does Army Publishing Index support multiple filters?
Yes. For example, if you want to search for an AR pub or form that belongs to the AASA Proponent with a Pub/Form Status = Active then you would put [AR] in the [Pub/Form Number]
textbox and select [AASA] from the [Proponents].
Why are some DA publications hosted on another website?
APD hosts the Dept. of the Army Administrative/Policy publications along with most of the DA Training and
Doctrine, DA Medical, DA Engineering publications, and Strategic Documents. The majority of the Army’s DA
Technical and Equipment publications (TMs, TBs, EMs, MWOs, etc.) along with a few other pub types can be
found at another officially approved DA publishing website as outlined in DA PAM 25-40.
Also, some DA publications such as multi-service pubs where Army is not the lead proponent are located
on another armed services website. The Army Publishing Index provides URLs for publications hosted on
other officially approved sites and can be found in the Footnotes section of the Details page for
those records.
