Reading this book gave me the feeling that I had a long and thorough discussion with my family doctor providing a friendly ear for all my sorrows. Sometimes a wee bit too pedagogic for my taste but helpful and uplifting most of the time.

How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved this book!
The 60 second shrink is without a doubt one of the best "self help" books on the planet. It was written for everyday people. It's jam-packed with no nonsense-common sense talk and advice that hits home on every page. Open it anywhere and you don't even have to read for sixty seconds to find gems of genuine insight and practical wisdom. Buy this book and you'll never need to look for a shrink because these two good doctors will always be in the house. I wish I could meet the authors and shake their hands for writing this 160 page, one of a kind educational achievement. This is more like a handbook for good emotional and mental health, that has something for everyone. An easy, engrossing and unpretentious read for understanding, learning, and empowerment that you can't put down and keep going back to. No need to underline or highlight or cornerfold pages. If you did then every page would be folded and yellow. The authors are sensitive and articulate doctors who are also down to earth people. When you open this book you feel that you are being talked to rather than reading words. It covers an incredible amount of useful and valuable material in a comprehensive, concise and right to the point presentation. Very honest, clear and real. Tons of great stuff with zero fluff. I never wrote a review before but felt compelled to write this one. This work is a brilliant 5 star+ must read and must have. I thank my wife Carol for giving me her copy to check out. I had no idea what I was in for. Psychology and psychiatry became simplified, demystified and made sense. Just buy it! Practitioner or client, a copy of this book belongs in your bookcase. It's that good.

4.0 out of 5 stars It's a kind of complicated
60-second shrink looks much more complicated and sophisticated than a lot of self-help books that I read. It might be much more helpful as well but I haven't got just yet the time to sort it out all.

4.0 out of 5 stars So far so good!
I'm still in the process of reading The 60 Second Shrink but I found the information very precise, direct and useful. I considered it a good buy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, quick therapy!
I get this book for all my friends because it's a great pick-me-up for all situations. Procrastinate? Have trouble sleeping? Have trouble with anger? Having trouble starting to exercise? This book has quick little chapters on almost all of our problems. The best part is that you don't have to commit the time to reading many pages/chapters of a self-help book; this book is organized into mini-chapters that take about a minute to read (hence the title) that offer you *just* the right inspiration so you get can going and working on that 'issue' you're having. And, the advice is clear and down-to-earth, in addition to being very provocative and inspiring.
This book is like a good friend (or therapist) that can help you in any situation, with very clear, easy-to-follow advice. It's very deep in its simplicity.
