[编辑]源自中古蘇格蘭語 confide、confyde (“相信”)，源自拉丁語 confīdere (“相信，信任”)，[1]，源自con- (“一起”) + fidēre (“信任”)。17世纪初叶首次出现于英语中。[1][2]faith和fidelity 的同源對似詞。
