Federica Morgia
Federica Morgia architect, Associate Professor, Phd in Architectural and Urban Design, obtained her postgraduate studies in Madrid with Juan Navarro Baldeweg (ETSAM), teaches Architectural and Urban Design at Sapienza University of Rome, and is a member of the Teaching Committee of the Landscape and Environment Doctorate and the Erasmus+ Joint Master Degree Architecture, Landscape and Archaeology at the same university. She is a professor in the Network Designing Heritage Tourism Landscapes, IUAV University of Venice. She is involved in architecture, cities, cultural heritage development and the design of public space in particular the design of public space, starting with walkable cities and accessible mobility.
Her projects and works with Officina 5 Architetti Associati have been published in international journals and presented and won prizes in numerous competitions and exhibitions: New IUAV Headquarters, New IUAV Headquarters: Nuova Sede IUAV, Nuova sede ASI with Enric Miralles, Prototipo per una Scuola Mobile in Argentina, Parco della Memoria in San Giuliano di Puglia and Padiglione Italia EXPO 2015 in Milan.
He has organised and participated in conferences and seminars on the themes of emergency and reconstruction and the enhancement of the landscape and open space. Her works and projects have been shown in numerous exhibitions and she is curator of the International Peacebuilding Exhibition, Casa dell'Architettura, Rome, 2008.
Her most significant publications include: Catastrofe: istruzioni per l'uso (Meltemi, Rome 2007), Enric Miralles Benedetta Tagliabue (Edilstampa, Rome 2010), Molto piccolo piuttosto grande (Timìa, Rome 2015), Stili di vita e città del futuro (Quodibet, 2020), Carlo Aymonino. Progetto, città e politica (Quodlibet, 2023) and La sezione risonante di Navarro Baldeweg (LetteraVentidue 2023).
