This paper provides strategies in evaluating usability via accessibility from the user experience of three replacement hospitals. The methodology refers to a five-stage evaluation process and using the “walk-through journey experience” among patient and visitors. The data analysis was based on thematic analysis principles using NVivo9. The accessibility design issues due to participant disabilities and expectation will build up for usability parameters. The findings indicate that the quality design is the positive user experience feedback on the usability of the physical design environment that fulfils their expectations and the concept of usability and accessibility is to support the user-friendly environment design.

The increasing of property cost especially the rent cost, intensified the proliferation of efficient space use through sharing of space. This lead to the wide use of open-plan space and the space taxonomy is introduced in order to accommodate the changes in business environment nowadays. However, the term 'space is money, space is a business' should not been used as a consequences of cost reduction in order to determine the business profit, but it must emphasises on how the organisation could improve its productivity through its most expensive resource-its employee. To improve the productivity, the organisation must provide a perceived environment of workplace for the employee. It's been noted that there is strong evidence on correlation between the productivity and the perceived workspace. The research examines the issues concerning the impact of space efficiency on office user physical environment, type of disturbances and distraction occurrence and is of interest in that it elicits response from a number of office users. This research reviews literature and findings made by some leading researches in the field. It relates these through case studies carried out in 3 organisations that represent the Cell, Hive and Conventional-Open Space organisation; an example of space efficiency. The most likely disturbance and distraction occurrence in those offices comes from the aural distractions which are telephone noise, other staff voices, machine and equipment; this is followed by the visual distraction, the passer by.

Despite the growing concern over mould and fungi infestations on library building, little has been reported in the literature on the development of an objective tool and criteria for measuring and characterising the mould and fungi. In this paper, an objective based approach to mould and fungi growth assessment using various sampling techniques and its identification using microscopic observation are proposed. This study involved three library buildings of Higher Institution Educational in Malaysia for data collection purpose and study of mould growth. The mould sampling of three libraries was collected using Coriolis air sampler, settling plate air sampling using Malt Extract Agar (MEA), IAQ MOLD Alexeter IAQ-Pro Asp/Pen® Test and swab sampling techniques. The IAQ MOLD Alexeter IAQ-Pro Asp/Pen® Test and traditional method technique identified various mould species immediately on the site, and the microscopic observation identifies common types of the mould such as Aspergillus, Penicillium and Stachybotrys's. The sample size and particular characteristics of each library will result in the mould growth pattern and finding.

With more than 200 number of shopping centre in Klang Valley itself, we the consumer actually have vast of choices. Instead of the machineries varieties from the lower class product till the posh one, each of those shopping centres eventually offers the typical product same as others. Those shopping centers are competing with each other and in great endeavour to attract more consumers, to visit and spend. As for the visitor, the typical product and boring ambience seems similar in all malls, and is looking something beyond the standard. Something that promising quality embedded in shopping centre which evokes the various emotions of the user along their journey in malls. This quality is known as usability.. Usability; as defined generally is a global user's experience response with product, environment, service or facilities. It is an assessment in extracting the qualities of shopping centre design. In mapping it, there are a few synthesizing methods to implement it. Therefore, this paper purposely to review the method that been used in usability of Malaysia's shopping centre research with a few references on previous research done in usability assessment by predecessor's scholars. With the accentuation on three elements that anchoring what the usability is: effectiveness, efficient and satisfaction, it is hope that this overview can lead other researcher in portraying its relationship with the quality and 'user friendly' design of shopping centre.

This paper discusses on the literature made of several scholars on the transformation of workspace utilisation. The discussion is based on literature of the factors that act as the catalyst on the workspace efficiency metamorphosis that result the innovation of open- space office. McGregor and Shin Then (1999), in their research, cited the history of office space that developed from early Victorian times, where they involved small groups of people in a certain task. Baldry (1997) stated that spatial design signals about status, behaviour, and hierarchical are personalised through the usage of conventional workspace. In addition, Gibson and Lizieri (1998), and Sullivan (1996) discussed the new working practices and the nature of demand for business space. According to Business Times, 1988, the application of information technology (IT) has brought about changes in the demand of office space.
This finding is supported by Eve’s (1996) where her research examined the dynamics for change in the office environment, which includes the information technology. As F.Becker (1990) said, this can be done by exploiting the characteristics of information technology, especially its capacity to support remote work and mobile workers. According to Dias (1997), the work patterns and use of offices are changing as a result of the technological change. Ratcliffe (1997) identified the technological change that affects the building industry as well as the working environment. IFMA, (1997), Knight Frank Hooker (1995), Harris (1998), BCO Guide (2000) pointed out that this shift the way of organisations rethinking from routine processes to creative knowledge, from individual work to interactive groups, teams and projects, thus introduce towards a more open – plan and democratic style office.
Open plan working is seen as a means of reducing property costs through savings in space requirement (Hadi, 2001). Moreover, Ilozor..et al (2002) states that despite the interaction effect resulting from the openness of space, it is found that the level of productivity increases.

This paper explores the definition and concept theoretical of usability in built environment. Usability which the main focus of interest in product design based has been adapted in creating the usable of Malaysia Shopping Centres. With the hasty number growth of shopping centres in Malaysia, the competition among of those commercial retailers is seen as crucial. The changes format of latest design and various types of user, this scenario makes our shopping centres management more challenging. Therefore, this paper looks on the usability as hidden quality in determining the commercial success. By considering the user experience in it, this paper also looks on its attributions. The dimensions of usability gained through thorough literature reviews can be set as reference in creating a usable shopping centre.

The hasty growth of Malaysia economic few years ago has led to the rapid expansion of urban and housing development. There is proliferation among the developers to fabricate up shopping centre within the proximity area. Shopping centre in Malaysia has become social interaction and entertainment platform, instead of its business, property and investment purpose. The shopping centre or ‘community centre tends to be’ always be the choice of community in interacting with each other, thus enhancing their social life. In addition, the richness of the culture in Malaysia community with various races emblazon its shopping mall phenomenon. Therefore, it becomes more complex and competitive marketplace. Especially when there is new shopping format innovated and changes in consumer environment.  This convolution of Malaysia shopping centres are in term of size, characteristics and type. This gives new understanding to the shopping mall of Malaysia landscape. Due to this, it is paramount important to be understood by the facilities manager as he needs to bond it with the clients business strategy in managing the mall. This paper aims to provide an overview of Malaysia shopping centres landscape and their profiles to gain a general understanding of the background of newly industrialised a non Western country, specifically Malaysia shopping centre.
