Printing Recycle City
If you need to print, please use the Printer-Friendly PDF version. From there, you can print each part of the city in a more readable format that uses less paper. Set your printer to "duplex" (double-sided), and you'll save even more!
Downloading Recycle City for Offline Use
If you want to use Recycle City when you're not hooked up to the Internet, you'll need to download it to your computer's hard drive. We've provided a couple of "compressed" versions to make it easier.
Zip File (.zip): You will need an unzipping program like WinZip (for PCs) or The Unarchiver (for Macs) to decompress this version of Recycle City. These programs are free to download, and often they are already available on your computer.
- Download Recyclecity.zip (7 MB)
(make sure you write down the name of the folder where you saved the file, so you can find it later)
Using Recycle City Offline
Once you have saved the .zip file on your computer, you won't need to be connected to the Internet to explore Recycle City. Just a few more steps:
- Open the folder where you saved the file.
- Double-click on the file, and follow the program's instructions to expand the file.
- A list of the unzipped files should appear on the screen. Double click on "index.html" to open the Recycle City Home Page in your Web browser (remember, you don't need to get on the Internet, even if it asks you to connect).
- Explore the sights! Recycle City should work the same way it does when you're connected to the Internet.
