About Us
We are here to give information regarding any court filings. We hear all Traffic citations, civil and criminal cases issued within the boundaries of the Walker River Paiute Tribe. We have court the first and third Tuesdays of the month beginning at 6:00 pm.
Mission:
The Mission of the Walker River Paiute Tribe is to support individual and community self-determination and self-sufficiency.
To protect our Tribal sovereignty and become self-sufficient, to prove opportunities to meet the needs of the Tribal members while maintaining the awareness of our culture, values, tradition, education, language, history, infrastructure, and health welfare. To manage and protect our natural resources which empower our community for current and future generations.
The Walker River Paiute Tribe has dedicated and committed leadership which strongly advocates Tribal sovereignty through government-to-government relations.
Courtroom Rules
- NO CELL PHONES: place cell phones on vibrate or silent, step outside if it is an
- emergency.
- NO HATS; including visors, bandanas, etc.
- NO BACKBACKS
- NO CHEWING GUM
- NO SUNGLASSES: tinted prescription glasses are an exception.
- ABSOLUTELY NO WEAPONS
- NO FOOD OR DRINKS
- DO DISRUPTVE CONVERSATIONS; step outside to continue your
conversation. - NO FILMING OR RECORDING WITHOUT THE COURT’S PERMISSION
THESE RULES ARE TO ENSURE PROTECTION FOR THE COURT STAFF, YOURSELF, AND OTHERS.
