Twitter imports
[edit]Hi, thanks for your import of Twitter usernames. But please consider to perform some pre or post filtering to avoid cases like adding twitter username to items about persons, that are 20+ years dead (like Teresa Carreño (Q241494), Herbert Kilpin (Q374252) or Saturnina Rodríguez de Zavalía (Q30049852)).--Jklamo (talk) 16:01, 22 May 2019 (UTC)
- I am reverting my additions of Twitter IDs from ja.wikipedia for now since there were also other instances where those articles should not have a Twitter template and link. I may go back later and do a more limited import restricted to articles for living people. -- Zyxw (talk) 17:36, 22 May 2019 (UTC)
Your edit to Q62040018 adding an incorrect birth date was referenced to the English Wikipedia, but I don't see any such statement regarding the birth date on the relevant article. Could you please clarify what caused the edit? --Yair rand (talk) 00:11, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
- It was imported from a {{Birth date}} template in en:Carolyn Allen, which the article's creator had incorrectly used for her death date. I updated the article to correct that template and add a referenced birth date. Carolyn Allen (Q62040018) was also updated. -- Zyxw (talk) 00:41, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you. Is there any way of determining whether that template might have been similarly misused in other articles? I'm concerned that this might show up in other items. --Yair rand (talk) 23:17, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
- I fixed 84 articles in the English Wikipedia which had a similar problem. Only two of those resulted in incorrect birth dates in Wikidata, which I have corrected. -- Zyxw (talk) 14:36, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
- Excellent, thank you. :) --Yair rand (talk) 17:23, 6 June 2019 (UTC)

Template:Association football properties
[edit]Hello Zyxw. This Template:Association football properties -template now have many different databases, wouldn't it be better to sort it better by type of ID's for example, list the player ID's in one list and the team ID's in another and so on. And maybe one list for venues/stadiums and of course for the other types also. Is this something you would sort out since you already have done some eits in the template. Best regards Migrant (talk) 16:17, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
- @Migrant: I agree and I just did it. -- Zyxw (talk) 19:12, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you so much, for good sorting ! Best regards Migrant (talk) 19:39, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks again for much good work on this subject allover, adding ID's to players and referees bio's, updating the names of these properties. But I still think the players list is big but how to differentiate it, in smaller groups. I can only think of two ways either in databases containing: both sexes, males and females; or in different sports, like plain old football, futsal and beachsoccer. I'm not sure what is best, maybe you do ? Best regards Migrant (talk) 15:18, 17 April 2020 (UTC)

Template:Olympism properties
[edit]Hello again Zyxw. Just saw that you added another property in this template Template:Olympism properties, but I didn't understand why you removed the Paralympic.org sportsperson ID (P7550) when you added Olympedia people ID (P8286) ? Was this by choice or just a copy/paste-typo. And in the next edit of yours adding a link to a polish property behind a spanish flag and a spanish property. Was this also a copy/paste-typo ? Best regards Migrant (talk) 19:04, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Migrant: Both mistakes on my part, now fixed.-- Zyxw (talk) 01:17, 18 July 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for correcting/updating it, Zyxw. Best regards Migrant (talk) 14:18, 18 July 2020 (UTC)
Editing question
[edit]I just saw your edits on the data object Emily Barrett (Q107331813) I'm glad you added the identifier British Bobsleigh & Skeleton Association ID (P4470). But why did you then add the qualifier URL (P2699)https://www.thebbsa.co.uk/the-team/directory/emily-barrett to the identifier. For me, that's doubly complicated, because the identifier is already linked to the URL. --Gymnicus (talk) 12:06, 4 August 2022 (UTC)
- I went through every instance of British Bobsleigh & Skeleton Association ID (P4470) and deprecated it where the identifier no longer worked, such as in Hannah Stevenson (Q88488278). I also added the property to some items that were missing it, such as Emily Barrett (Q107331813). For the non-working links I added archive URL (P1065) if there was one and for the working links I added URL (P2699). As you said, the identifiers already link to the URL, but I thought I would document the current URL in case it changes in the future (as has happened with a number of other external link properties). -- Zyxw (talk) 04:19, 7 August 2022 (UTC)
