Hi

Since the inception of ".NET Framework", it was common to just call it ".NET". But nowadays, it is unacceptable, because of ".NET Core".

Now, "Microsoft .NET" is actually something else. It was an umbrella name for the Microsoft branding that involved adding ".NET" suffix to a lot of things. The branding campaign failed because the customers felt that ".NET" communicates nothing. So, it was scrapped.
