Your "Default Web Browser" is the browser that will open when you click a link in another program. For example, if you're using Microsoft Outlook to read your email, and you click a link in an email; your computer will use the program that is set as the default browser in order to show you that web page.
If you only have one web browser installed, it will always be used as your default web browser, but if you have more than one browser installed on your computer, you can choose which browser you'd like to be the default.
To do that, you have to find and change the default setting on your computer. Here are some guides to show you how to choose your default web browser.
Every Operating system comes with a default web browser installed - Windows comes with Edge, macOS comes with Safari, Ubuntu comes with Firefox. But those aren't the only browsers you can use. There are many other browsers which have different features and different Pros and Cons.
It's a good experience to try a different web browser; you might find one that you enjoy using more than your current browser.
