is it weird that I sometimes feel like I'm "not fat enough" to feel like I deserve the "fat bodies are beautiful" speech? like....I'm fat, I'm definitely fat, I have a 45 inch waist and an apron belly. but it's "only" a 45in waist....idk...it feels like a dumb thing to feel but here I am...knowing I'm fat but going "but not fat enough to experience fat positivity" especially bc I've been losing weight....sorry for the ramble I've had this thought for a while

I can't mentally translate that number to an idea of what you look like, but I can still answer this regardless. You deserve fat positivity. Your body deserves positivity. You deserve to not hate your body. And this goes for you no matter how fat you are because this goes for all fat people of every size. Even if your mind wants to convince you you're not fat enough to count, guess what? Midsize people deserve fat positivity too. Midsize people deserve to not hate their bodies either. So, whether you're fat or midsize doesn't change the fact that you deserve positivity. If you'd like to try these tips, I have some coping mechanisms that may help you. The first coping mechanism you can try is to add beliefs to your mind rather than subtract. It's not easy to delete that "I'm not deserving of positivity" belief. So, instead, you can tell yourself "Everybody is deserving of positivity" when your mind is trying to drag you down. That new belief helps you out-logic your old belief while not forcing you to pretend that old belief is gone. Another coping mechanism you can try is to write down fat positivity and positive phrases about yourself on sticky notes and put those sticky notes around your apartment/house. You can put some sticky notes on the fridge, on the door, on your dresser, wherever you'll see the sticky notes. Eventually after reading those notes every day for some time, it will become easier to believe what those sticky notes say.

I hope this answer will help you. Your body is already "enough" to deserve love and compassion.

I'm never again befriending women which biggest fear is to look like me while trying to convince me I'm beautiful, you don't even believe that lol

I hate that lipservice too. If somebody is fatphobic and tries to excuse that by making an "exception" for you, that person is not your friend.

Been adding to this gay vampire themed battle vest on and off for about 2 years. I always intended to do a custom painting on the back but kept putting it off. Originally I was going to do a Lost Boys tribute but ended up doing an original piece instead. I painted these on canvas and then sealed it with Angelus leather paints finisher and stitched it onto the vest.

I want to get more pins and patches for the front but I'm so happy to have a fair amount of the back decorated now!

it's patently obvious how many of you refuse to actually read and engage with posts about fatphobia to the same extent that you do many other bigotries btw

you can go into the notes of any fatphobia post, no matter how well-researched, insightful, politically complex, important, well-argued etc. and find that roughly 80% of the not-actively-hateful notes will be neatly divided into two camps of "i actually think fat people are hot surprisingly! love the squish xD" and "#didn't relate because i'm sooooo skinny small #this seems important even though i'm 110lb #very thin but i support you! skinny and small and thin but you also matter. i'm thin btw"

Just saw someone be like “ugh I hate bitches with eating disorders I can’t even look up mealspo with getting ana shit” like. mealspo is a term used almost exclusively by people with eating disorders. OBVIOUSLY that’s going to be the content you get from that keyword

Buddy, this is the most bullshit excuse I've ever heard. "We don't create and perpetuate fat people's oppression. We just make posts about how ugly fat people are and abuse fat people online and encourage our followers to throw up to pictures of innocent fat strangers. Why can't you see you're victimizing me by saying it's not okay for people with disorders to do whatever they want with absolutely no regard for the horrific effects our voluntary actions have on another marginalized group of people 😫"

There is zero excuse for making, liking, or sharing thinspo. None. I say this as a "disordered person" myself. I have trauma. I have mental disorders. I even have fucking eating disorders. And I have never made the choice to run a thinspo blog. In fact, I mod for a blog that is the exact opposite of thinspo.

You need to take responsibility for your actions and stop blaming your eating disorder for what you choose to do with your autonomy. Your url "circusclownproductions" sounds about right.
