I've been fascinated by the AT since reading Grandma Gatewood's Walk by Ben Montgomery. Hope I get a chance to hike at least a portion of it. Loved this great article.

I just read this article loud in the car as we are heading to hike the 8 Km Path of the Gods with our teenage kids. Had to stop a couple of times not to cry… Hope that the Appalachian Trail is ahead of them too.
