Sparkpark AS, innovator in parking solutions for shared micro-mobility vehicles, is partnering with E-wings, a Polish e-scooter provider, to pilot an innovative parking system in Poland. This partnership aims to enhance urban mobility by addressing the challenges of misparked micro-mobility vehicles. Utilizing Sparkpark’s Happy City® system, which offers centimeter-level parking precision, the project seeks to reduce street clutter and improve sidewalk safety. With the support of EIT Urban Mobility, the pilot will pave the way for safer, more efficient urban environments, with a potential for broader commercial expansion post-pilot.
In Prague, a one-year EU-funded project managed by ParkedByMe consortium aims to test a new parking solution for shared bikes, electric bikes, and scooters. Utilizing the SparkPark digital system with Bluetooth sensors, the project seeks to expand parking spaces, improve efficiency, and reduce street disorder caused by poorly parked vehicles. Pilot projects in Prague and Madrid will compare the new system with GPS sensors, addressing concerns about traffic, safety, and aesthetics in urban areas.
