Image segmentation is a technique which separate a part of any object or image.
Pattern recognition and image analysis are the initial steps of image segmentation.
Some of the image to used for segmentation technique like threshold ,edge
detection etc.
INTRODUCTION
• Image segmentation is the process for partitioning a digital image to the
multiple segment.
• Image segmentation is used for locating object and boundaries (lines,
curve)
WHY DO WE NEED IMAGE
SEGMENTATION
• Image segmentation breaks the image down into meaningful region.
• It classifying the image pixels and there are various image segmentation
technique are used to segment the image depending on the types of image.

medical field, object detection etc. the combination of multiple segmentation
methods is need to get good result to improve the accuracy of the
segmentation .The important parameter of image segmentation are accuracy,
complexity, efficiency and interactivity. Foe this reason segmentation of
image in various application has high demand in future.
