Project Overview :-
                                     This report focuses on the nursery business, offering
guidance on how to efficiently run and manage a nursery. It highlights key challenges such as
plant cultivation issues, demand fluctuations, plant development, price inconsistencies, and
inadequate promotional activities. The study also explores strategic business techniques like
production development, distribution strategies, pricing models, and marketing channels.
The goal is to help small nurseries grow into large, eco-friendly businesses.
Nursery Details :-
                            Name: Sagar Firm and Nursery
                            Business Duration: 35 years
              Sagar Firm and Nursery, one of the oldest nurseries, is located in Purulia near
Bongabari along the highway. It houses a wide variety of plants, with fruit and ornamental
plants being the most popular and high-selling categories.
Popular Plant Categories :-
✔ Fruits: Mango, Guava, Orange, Apple, Coconut, Jackfruit, Lemon Tree, etc.
✔ Flowers: Bougainvillea, Paper Flower, Tuberose, Marigold, Pink Rose, Jaswant Flower
✔ Decorative Plants: Indoor Plants, Outdoor Plants.
                                                  This nursery provides a diverse collection
of plants catering to both gardening enthusiasts and commercial buyers.
Firm Overview:-
 Sagar Firm and Nursery is an independently owned organic nursery.
 Spanning 3 bighas (27,000 sq. ft.), the nursery is dedicated to sustainable plant cultivation.
 Specializes in fruit plants, flowers, and decorative plants.
 Operates with a team of three employees, including the owner.
 No additional branches; all operations take place in a single location.
 Uses minimal technology, relying only on a water pump for irrigation.
 Maintains high soil purity for all cultivated plants.
Market Potential:-
 Growing preference for environmentally friendly and organic products.
 Demand for plants used in home gardens, decoration, and office spaces is rising.
 People are increasingly drawn toward sustainable and chemical-free farming.
Production Details:-
1. The nursery focuses on in-house production rather than purchasing plants.
2. Three main categories of plants are cultivated

                                                 2. Flowers
                                                 3. Decorative plants (both indoor and outdoor)
3. The entire 3-bigha land is dedicated to plant cultivation.
4. Only an offline store is available for purchases; no online or digital sales.
5. No machinery is used, ensuring a completely natural growing process.
6. Seeding capacity ranges from 1,400 to 1,500 plants at a time.
Marketing Approach:-
 No specialized customer segmentation is applied.
 The focus is strictly on local customers and institutions.
 The nursery has built a reputation for its variety of plants, but without any specific brand
  positioning or promotional strategies.
