The procession began on January 9 and took 19

Quiapo and arrived there at 3:38 a.m. the next day.
The 6.75-kilomter procession started two hours
late because of some minor issues with the wheels
of the carriage, the ropes, and the marshals. Some
500,000 devotees reportedly walked barefoot from
Rizal Park to Quiapo as s show of devotion and
penance.
When devotees waiting at the Minor Basilica in
Quiapo spotted the approaching crowd and statue
of the Black Nazarene, they all started chanting

ensuring that the reader
recognizes the feature’s closure.
