5.1. Fixed speed turbines- FST
a. Characteristics of IG- generator turbines
WT ran mainly at fixed speed
-Generators have 2 stator windings, one for low wind
speed ( higher number poles) and one for hight wind
speed ( low number poles)
-WT- simple, robust, low costs for electric equipment.
-Wind speed causes changes power into the grid
