Salas "Capital of curanderismo"

I live in Salas, one of the 12 districts of the Province of Lambayeque, it is a city known as the capital of
curanderismo due to the quality and the existence of sorcerers in the area. Salas is between Jayanca
and Motupe, on the North Pan-American highway there is a crossroads that diverts to my district.
There are many interesting places in Salas, for example its main park, which in the center features a
famous statue of a sorcerer. This statue is a symbol of our city. The Niño Dios de Reyes museum is
visited by many tourists when they arrive for the Festival that is celebrated on January 4, 5, 6 and 7.
The little cave of the Yanahuanca hill, for the holy water that is found, and the cross that many
believers go to visit there because of the faith they have, bringing offerings, and going to pray, the
Tribute to the Cross of Yanahuanca is celebrated from the 16 to August 22, in the Penachí Town Center.
Other of the main attractions for tourists are the "Dos Reinas" waterfall located in the village of El
Sauce, La Poza La Encantada, which is located in the town center of La Ramada, they are beautiful
places to bathe and, above all, enjoy family surrounded by nature. nature therefore tourists never get
bored of visiting them.
Salas is also identified by its beautiful landscapes, hills that in rainy weather turn green that brightens
the eyes of many; its agriculture especially stands out, due to the fact that at present many of its
organic crops are being exported to foreign markets; the crops that we find are sugar cane, coffee,
oregano, corn, citrus, mango, beans, ect. In this district, products derived from sugar cane are made,
such as Chancaca, yonque and organic panela, as well as beekeeping, managing to extract high quality
honey.
Miguel: Hello Pamela
Pamela: Hi Miguel.
Miguel: How are you?
Pamela: Worried, and you?
Miguel: Sad, why do you worry?
Pamela: Because I saw a big problem in the Salas district.
Miguel: Which one?
Pamela: Deforestation in many of the towns and our authorities do nothing, soon the
district will have no trees and this is a very serious problem.
Miguel: Yes, there is another big problem that is due to the lack of water, and many
crops are at risk of being lost, because it does not rain and the water is less and less.
Pamela: We have to find a quick solution for each of these problems, we as students
of the Agronomy career and apply what we have learned.
Miguel: You're right Pamela, I have an idea regarding the water problem that I told
you about.
Pamela: What an idea
Miguel: To make better use of the water, I am going to advise the farmers to water
better at night, so that the water is not lost in the sun. Until managing to install hoses
in all the ditches because that is where the most water is lost through these large
holes, in addition to the fact that first the water has to moisten the entire ground so
that it can continue its course, thus taking hours. to reach the crops, because there
are lands further away from others.
Pamela: Great, I'm glad you're helping our fellow farmers. In my case, I am going to
encourage the planting of tara and eucalyptus, where I will teach them how to make
a nursery for each of these species, how they should take care of it and how it should
be planted. I will give talks on how to take care of plants to children, so that from an
early age they learn how important plants are and above all they learn to sow.
Miguel: Good idea Pamela, bye
Pamela: Bye
