 Step 1: Read the numbers


before the decimal point Five hundred sixty-

larger as the value of the place value to its right.  Step 2: Read the decimal eighteen thousandths.
= 0.1 “read as one-tenths” = 0.01 “read as one-hundredths” point as “and”
