The light fixture was designed to add character of curiosity for the onlooker. The digital printing on
either side of the light fixture adds a lot of character and it gives the designer to display any theme
or character that he wishes to portray. The silver paint with the light area brings about a warm light
output which adds to a pleasant ambient light.
The size and proportion of the light fixture is bold to demand attention and bring about a sense of
importance of the space it is positioned in.

Location:
Pune city started out on the right bank of the Mutha river that formed its western
boundary. Pune of the eighteen peths or wards was the creation of the Peshwas. The
peth was probably no more than a well-laid out stone-paved main road, with one or two
wadas. Soon temples, shrines, a bazaar, orchards, ward offices and police posts
appeared. This is how a locality would grow. Lanes and by-lanes were created from
leftover spaces between houses. Thus a certain amount of overall planning was
combined with impromptu development in the peths.

Respect to the heritage: The market designed would compliment the heritage structure in all
possible ways without overpowering it in anyway.
Senstivity to the people: the market would be designed on an Indian context that would suit the
Indian way of shopping.

It works like this:
To Nature
Survey the climate at the proposed building location. This should include
temperature, relative humidity, solar radiation and wind.
Evaluate the climate and assess the relevant importance of each of
various elements.
Propose a technical solution to solve each o f the climate-comfort
problems. The technical solutions should include site selection, site
orientation, shading calculation, building form and shapes, air movement
and indoor temperaturebalance.
The first three stages should be incorporated into the architectural
solution.
GREEN DESIGN
Why bio-climatic_
Nearly two million residential building are built annually in India
apart from the offices , commercial and industrial buildings and
with demand and supply which is increasing year by year.It is
essential to conserve the conventional energy by developing
energy the efficient buildings.
In India, the residential and commercial sectors consume 25% of
the total electricity usage of the country, and a major portion of
this is utilized in buildings.
Most buildings that are presently being designed and used are
far from being ecofriendly or sustainable. Their energy
consumption and imposition on nature resources is massive.
Hence the design and development of new buildings based on
sound concepts of bio-climatic architecture could substantially
improve energy-use efficiency in the building sector, with an
associated reduction in both local as well as global emissions.
