- Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to understand the usage of
the past simple and the past continuous tenses; and be able to differentiate between signal
words commonly associated with the two tenses.
- Skills/competences: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to construct
sentences using the past simple and the past continuous tenses; and be able to confidently
apply them in their English learning and communication.
- Attitudes/behaviours: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to appreciate the
importance of using appropriate tenses to clearly convey the sequence and timing of past
events, fostering confidence in experimenting with both tenses.
