Mariam and her friends work in a community garden. It's on
the roof of an apartment block. They grow vegetables and fruit for
people in the local area. The community garden is a good idea
because the plants help to clean the air. The community garden
project is a good place to make new friends(s)
2. The Mini Forest
Mini Forest is an organization which plants small areas of trees
in the middle of our cities. These special green areas help people
enjoy nature and help our wildlife. We always work hard to find the
best urban locations for our forests. We never grow foreign plants in
our projects, We always plant trees that grow naturally in an area.

1 El Fouad School
Welcome to El Fouad School, We are proud of our new, modern
buildings. We are also happy to show them to you. There are four
classrooms and two new laboratories in our school. There's a
playground and playing field. There're over 50 desktop computers,
plus laptops and tablets. There is a gymnasium to play basketball,
handball, and gymnastics!
2 A fantasy TV series
Wanda land is a fantasy TV series. It is popular with people of
all age groups. It is interesting . It also takes place in the future on a
planet called Wanda). This is a world where humans live because the
Earth is now too hot . The series tells the story of a boy called Frey.
Frey wants to return to Earth to look for his family.
3 Cats
Cats are beautiful with soft fur which is nice to touch . They're
clean and calm animals. They are usually friendly. They like people
but they're independent. Cats have sharp claws and teeth, but they
only use them when they are scared . When you pet a cat, it makes
you happy.
1 My vacation
I love visiting new places. My trip is in Cairo. There are lots to
see there . I can visit the museum first. Then I can take photos at the
Manial Palace Museum for my school project. In Giza, there's a
theme park. I can ride a rollercoaster there. It's amazing.
2 The Bab Zuweila minaret
There are lots of things to do in Cairo. Let's climb the Bab
Zuweila minaret. It's difficult, but the view from the top is beautiful
. If we are in the late afternoon, we can watch the sunset over the
city.
3 Sharm El-Sheikh
Sharm El-Sheikh is an interesting and busy town in Egypt. It's
by the Red Sea. There're lots of things to see and do. You can swim in
the sea . You can enjoy and relax at the beach . You can visit St
Catherine's monastery. You can go quad biking in the desert.
4 At the Carnival
At the Carnival, there is a world of fantasy . There's a lot to see
and do there . There're amazing rides to try like the rollercoaster.
There are theaters where you can watch shows . There are places to
eat and stores, too. The children's section has a lot of rides.
1 Birthdays around the world
Birthdays are celebrated all over the world!. In Egypt, we usually
make birthday cakes for our children. We put candles on them to
show their ages. We often have parties with a lot of family and
friends. Children usually get presents. Children like to blow out the
candles on their birthday cakes. In the USA and Britain, they give
good friends and family presents on their birthday even when they're
adults. In Brazil, they give the first piece of birthday cakes to the
most important people on their family). In China, people like to eat
long noodles or peaches on their birthdays. In South Africa, 21 is an
important birthday.

1 The village of Nok
Almost 100 years ago, local people in the small village of Nok in
Nigeria, found some unusual objects under the ground. These objects
were beautiful clay sculptures of humans. The sculptures were all in
the same style. They were usually in a sitting position with their
hands on their legs. The quality of the work was incredible.
2 Marco Polo Museum
I visited the Marco Polo Museum on my vacation . It's on an
island in Croatia called Korcula. It's a really interesting museum all
about the travels of Marco Polo. Marco Polo was an Italian explorer.
He was one of the first people from the West to visit China. The
museum had a lot of things from ancient China. It really made the
story of Marco Polo come to life.
3 A trip on a felucca
Last week, I went on a felucca on the River Nile. A felucca is a
traditional Egyptian sailing boat. It's made of wood. A felucca is
difficult to sail, but the captain was very strong and had the skills to
do it . The trip was amazing . We went slowly down the river in the
warm sunshine. We stopped to see some incredible things along the
way.
1 Making candles
We need some wax for making the candles . Palm wax from
Egyptian palm trees makes really nice candles. We need some
perfume oil. We squeeze in about 40 drops of this oil to make three
candles. We can take flowers and press them on the tops of candles(.
We need one glass and one wick for each candle. We use some
popsicle sticks to hold the wick up!?!, We heat the wax to melt it,
then stir it well.
2 Ancient Egyptians' food
Ancient Egyptians took care of their bodies and ate well. Ancient
Egyptians ate a lot of vegetables and fruits . They used wheat and
barley to make bread . Most people in Ancient Egypt only ate a little
meat. They probably ate a few fish and birds. They also ate some
eggs and cheese. They used honey with bread and cream to make
cakes . They also used dates or figs to make sweet fruit drinks. Some
families used spices and herbs to make their cooking taste better.
3 Personal care in Ancient Egypt
Ancient Egyptians used many of the products we use today for
personal care. They loved strong perfumes . The most popular
perfume was called kapet . They used a type of toothbrush to clean
their teeth . They also made toothpaste . They made mint candies to
keep their mouth fresh all day.
