IV. PROCEDURES These steps should be done across the week. Spread out the activities appropriately so that students will learn well. Always be guided by
demonstration of learning by the students which you can infer from formative assessment activities. Sustain learning systematically by
providing students with multiple ways to learn new things, practice their learning, questions their learning processes, and draw conclusions
about what they learned in relation to their life experiences and previous knowledge. Indicate the time allotment for each step.
A. Reviewing previous Let’s take a quick review of our previous lesson: Recall on previous activity.
lesson or presenting the *what was our activity
new lesson *What are those tools, materials and yesterday?
equipment used in sewing? Recall on previous activity
*what are those material?
*what are those tools?
*What are those equipment?
B. Establishing a purpose Can you give the measurement needed for pajama PRETEST
for the lesson. pants?
(the students try to list the measurement needed in Before we start with our lesson,
pajama pants) let us determine how much you
know about the use of sewing
tools and equipment. Take this
test.
Directions: Read each item
carefully and choose the letter of
the best answer from the choices
below. Write your answer in
your notebook.

designed to rip out
stitches from seams,
usually from an error or
during alterations to the
fabric.

D. Discussing new The students will individually read the procedures in
concepts and practicing drafting pattern for Front pajama pants and try to
new skills #1 draft it on the board.
Procedure in drafting pattern for pajama pants
Draw a Perpendicular line
A – Starting point
AB – length of pajama AC - Crotch measurement
Project all points.
AD – ¼ hip measurement
AD = AE, CF, CG, BH, BI
*connect points EFH and DGI using a L-square
FJ – 3” Standard Measurement
GK – 1 ½” Standard measurement
EL – 1” Standard measurement
LM – 1” standard Measurement
*Connect points JL and DK using a French curve
HN – 1” standard measurement
IO – ½” standard Measurement
*Connect points JN and KO using L-Square.
E. Discussing new
concepts and practicing
Provide the Seam Allowances Discussion of the Learning
new skills #2 Waistline Casing – 2 inches Out/Side Seam – 1
inch
Content
Crotch Seam – ½ to ¾ inch Hemline – 1/2
inches Inseam – ¾ inch
Waist seam – ½ inch
Helpful Tips
• Waist of back pattern is higher and wider than the front
pattern.
• Crotch of back pattern is deeper and wider than the front
pattern.
• Length of back and front pants has the same measurements.
• Knee measurement has the same length.
• Bottom of back pants is wider than the front pants.
Making the Final Pattern
1. Prepare the pattern paper, pencil, and tape measure and
drafting tools
2. Copy the basic pattern.
3. Make the necessary design of the pants specifically for the
outer seam.
4. Provide the needed seam allowances:
5. Inseam = ¾ inch (1.9 cm)
6. Out seam = 1 inch (2.54 cm)
7. Waistline = ½ inch (1,2 cm)
8. Crotch = ¾ inch (1.9 cm)
9. Hemline = ½ inch (1.2 cm)
10. Bias facing for the outer seam = ½ inch (1.2 cm)
11. Cut the final pattern with the seam allowances.
12. Indicate the pattern symbols on each pattern piece.
13. Use suitable cutting tools.
14. Cut curve areas smoothly and slowly especially the crotch, and
pockets.
15. For double patterns, prepare a ready pattern for the layout of
the garment.

V. REMARKS
VI. REFLECTION Reflect on your teaching and assess yourself as a teacher. Think about your students’ progress this week. What works? What else needs to be done to help
the students learn? Identify what help your instructional supervisors can provide for you so when you meet them, you can ask them relevant questions.

require additional activities
for remediation
C. Did the remedial lessons
work? No. of learners who
have caught up in the
lesson
D. No. of learners who
continue to require
remediation
E. Which of my teaching
strategies worked well?
Why did these work?
