Course Objectives:
 Effective use of Business Intelligence (BI) technology to apply data visualization.
 To discern patterns and relationships in the data.
 To build Dashboard applications.
 To communicate the results clearly and concisely.
 To be able to work with different formats of real time data sets.

Course Outcomes: After completion of the course, the student should be able to
 Understand how to import data into Data visualization tools.
 Identify, classify, and apply Dimensions and Measures in data analysis tasks.
 Develop Programs and understand how to map Visual Layouts and Graphical
Properties.
 Create Dashboard, custom charts, and, publish to visualization tool online for any real
time dataset.
 Demonstrate creation of frames using graphical user interfaces for providing solutions
to real world problems.

List of Experiments:

1. Define data and identify where to find data. Explain the foundations for building data
visualizations and demonstrate creating your first visualization.
2. Describe getting started with Data Visualization tool using data file formats,
demonstrate connecting your data to Data Visualization tool, and create basic charts
(line, bar charts, tree maps.
3. Implement SUM, AVERAGE, and aggregate features, and create custom calculations
and fields.
4. Apply new data calculations to your visualizations, and demonstrate formatting
visualizations using formatting tools and menus, including formatting specific parts of
the view.
5. Illustrate the data manipulation operations and perform pivoting using visualization
tool.
6. Structure your data, sort and filter data, and perform data analysis.
7. Use advanced visualization tools: apply filters, customize filters and format your data.

8. Create dashboards and storytelling: design your first dashboard and story, adapt
design for different displays, add interactivity to your dashboard, and distribute and
publish your visualization.
9. Identify different file types, publish to visualization tool, share your visualizations,
print, and export.
10. Create custom charts, including cyclical data and circular area charts, and build dual
axis charts.
11. Analyze how formatting tools and menus affect the clarity and effectiveness of
visualizations.
12. Use any dataset from Kaggle to visualize data patterns by creating interactive Line,
Bar, and Pie charts, and compile them into a dashboard using HTML and JavaScript.
