LABORATORY TITLE
I. Objectives
Though there are objectives stated in every laboratory sheet, it is better to rephrase them into
more specific statement(s). Focus only on the main goal(s) of the experiment. In this way,
making your conclusion will be easier since the objectives set must be answered in the
Conclusion part.
II. Materials
• One-meter rope
• Ruler
• One light object
• One heavy object
III. Experimental Set-up
For lab-at-home activities only:
Show an illustration/photo of the experimental set-up that you use. Include as
attachment, a fast-paced (time-lapsed) video of yourself as you set up the apparatus
and gather data (2-3 minutes only).
For lab activities that use virtual simulations or program:
Show a screenshot of the virtual lab simulation. For lab activities that use AdDU-
Physics .exe programs, just mention the name of the lab program instead of an
image.
IV. Data and Results
This is the part of your report where you systematically show all your data and results
(measurements), usually through tables and graphs. Required calculations also fall
under this part.
V. Data Analysis
This is the part of your report where you do error analysis, either by calculating the
absolute error, percentage error, percentage difference, and any other appropriate
means of determining degree of error in your experiment. This is where you make sense
of your data by interpreting what the data and results mean by using appropriate
Physics and mathematical principles. This is also where you verify or validate
relationships between physical quantities that are in focus of the experiment.
VI. Recommendations and Conclusions
This part synthesizes your generalizations. This must also directly address the
objectives that are set at the beginning of the experiment. Hence, clearly stated
objective(s) will help you articulate clearer and direct-to-the-point conclusions. Limit this
part to 1-2 paragraphs only.
VII. Practical Integration
This part is optional. You show and briefly discuss practical application(s) of the
Physics principles that are covered in an experiment. Cite all references used and limit
this part to 2-3 paragraphs and 1 photo only
