based on experimental work which we performed in the MECE - 306 MATERIAL SCIENCE
AND APPLICATION LABPRATORY. This report and the laboratory work on which it is

Tips and outlines for writing reports
The report should consist of the following sections: (Use your own words, don’t copy the handout)
1. Table of contents
2. Table of figures
5. Data & Results (Report the input & output variables observed & perform calculations)
6. Discussion ,
the answer to the question “what do my results mean?” The
discussion section of the manuscript should come after the methods and results
section and before the conclusion
7. Sources of errors (discuss possible causes of errors)
8. Conclusion, conclusion as a summary of everything that you have said thus far.
In the conclusion section, you remind the reader of what they have just read.

A maximum of 2 - 3 pages describing the purpose of the report, relating the topic to wider field
and explaining the layout /arrangement of the report.
Discuss the previous literature as theory in this section

6- Discussion
Discuss the results, with the aid of graphs whenever possible.
7- Sources of errors
Explain the sources of errors in the obtained results and point their sources.
8- Conclusion:
End with a short paragraph stating the main outcomes of the experiment.

9- References:
List used references such as textbooks, periodicals or Internet Sites and Lab Handouts, use
APA/ MLA style properly.
