FY25 Medicinal Chemistry (MedChem) Services and Fees

Prices will increase by 3% per each fiscal year

The pricing structure listed below is effective as of July 1, 2024. Highly customized or non-standard
projects may incur additional fees. Please consult the core for a quote for non-routine projects.

Synthesis:
Reaction (10-500 mg) $35.81/hour
Reaction (0.5–1 gram): $35.81/hour
General workup (10-500 mg): $143.28/step
General workup (0.5-1 g): $238.82/step
Column chromatography (10-500 mg): $143.28/step
Column chromatography (0.5-1 g): $238.82/step

Example pricing of a typical 5-step synthesis project (0.5-1 g):


[$35.81/hour x 6 hours (mean reaction time for one reaction) + $238.82/step x 2 steps +
$47.76/analytical assay x 2 assays = $788.02/step] x 5 steps = $3,940 + costs of starting materials
and special reagents.

Example pricing of a typical 5-step synthesis project (20-50 mg):


[$35.81/hour x 6 hours (mean reaction time for one reaction) + $143.28/step x 2 steps +
$47.76/analytical assay x 2 assays = $596.96/step] x 5 steps = $2,985 + costs of starting materials
and special reagents.

Instrumental Analysis:

MS (ESI) or LC/MS: $47.76/sample
HPMS: $47.76/sample
Melting Point: No charge for internal users
Specific Rotation: No charge for internal users

Starting Materials and Special Reagents: Must be provided by users
