CLARIFICATIONS ON DAILY LESSON PREPARATION


FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR 2025-2026

1. In pursuant to DepEd Order No. 42 s. 2016 “Policy Guideline on Daily


Lesson Preparation for the K to 12 Basic Education Program”, and DepEd Order
No. 012, s. 2025, titled “Multi-year Implementing Guidelines on the School
Calendar and Activities”, this Office issues the clarifications on daily lesson
preparation for the school year 2025-2026.

2. The teaching personnel prepares the lesson plan in soft or digital copy using
the prescribed template. However, for schools with difficulty in internet connectivity,
they may still use the hard copy. The teacher is required to update the lesson plan
on a daily basis anchored to curriculum standards and learning goals, ensuring that
each lesson session is adjusted in accordance with the actual events and outcomes
from the previous session. Reflections and additional notes by the teacher shall be
documented at the conclusion of each teaching day.

3. Teachers are expected to prepare Daily Lesson Plan with an outline of


classroom-based activities that guides both teachers and learners in the attainment
of instructional objectives/Learning Competencies.

4. The teaching personnel uploads the lesson plan in a google drive or school
management system for checking of the designated administrators/checkers. Lesson
plans must be compiled into a folder to facilitate organized filing. Submission
includes details of the teacher’s name, subject, grade level, and submission date.

5. School administrators/key personnel assigned for checking and monitoring of


lesson plans receive the submission and performs an initial check for completeness
(e.g., all required sections are filled out).

6. If complete, the administrators conduct a detailed review of the lesson plan


for alignment with curriculum standards and teaching goals.

7. Administrators/checkers provides feedback to the teacher, either approving


the lesson plan or requesting revisions.

8. Once approved, the Administrators log the submission and approval date in a
tracking system (manual or digital).

9. It is reiterated that the Dailyn Lesson Log (DLL) shall apply only for Grades 6,
9, 10, 11 and 12 while the semi-detailed Daily Lesson Plan shall be for Kindergarten,
Grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 and 8 to serve as complete guide of the teachers in executing
the lesson as anchored on the newly revised curriculum.

10. The prescribed template for the daily lesson preparation is in the enclosure of
this memorandum.
