WEEK 1: FEBRUARY 4 - 7

WEEK 1 REFLECTION: First Week of Duty as a Practice Teacher (April 4–7)


Stepping into my role as a practice teacher this week has been both exciting and overwhelming
in the best ways. From the moment I arrived at the school, I was filled with a mix of nervousness
and anticipation. I knew this was the start of something meaningful not just in fulfilling academic
requirements, but in shaping the educator I aspire to become.
One of the most memorable parts of this week was observing my cooperating teacher and how
she managed the classroom. Her confidence, patience, and ability to connect with the students
gave me a model to look up to. I noticed how routines and structure played a big role in
classroom management, and I realized that being organized and consistent are key to gaining
students’ respect and attention.
Meeting the students for the first time was another highlight. Some were shy, others were
curious, and a few were very energetic but all of them reminded me why I chose this path. Even
in the short interactions we had, I felt a sense of purpose. It made me reflect on how important
the role of a teacher is in a student's life not just academically, but emotionally and socially as
well. Of course, there were also challenges. I felt unsure at times, afraid to make mistakes or say
the wrong thing. I also learned that no amount of theory can truly prepare you for the dynamics
of a real classroom. But instead of being discouraged, I’m choosing to see these as learning
moments. I know that growth will come through experience, and I’m ready to embrace it all.

In this first week, I’ve learned that teaching is not just about delivering lessons, it's about
building relationships, understanding each student's needs, and constantly adapting. I'm grateful
for this opportunity, and I’m looking forward to the weeks ahead with a heart full of hope,
courage, and commitment.
WEEK 2: FEBUARY 10 - 14

WEEK 2 REFLECTION: Musical Valentine Celebration & Juniors Ball (April 10–14)
My second week as a practice teacher was filled with energy, excitement, and a deeper look into
the culture and heart of the school community. This week wasn’t just about lessons and
classroom management, it was also about experiencing the rhythm of school life through special
events like the Musical Valentine Celebration and the Juniors Ball.
The Musical Valentine Celebration was a wonderful opportunity to see students and teachers in a
different light. I was amazed at how much talent the students showcased from singing and
dancing to playing instruments. It reminded me that teaching isn't confined to academics.
Students need opportunities to express themselves creatively, and as a future educator, it’s my
role to support that expression. I also realized how events like these help build a sense of
community and belonging within the school. I saw shy students shine on stage and classmates
cheer each other on. It was truly heartwarming.
The Juniors Ball was another highlight. It was my first time witnessing such an event as part of
the faculty. It was elegant, meaningful, and very well-organized. Beyond the formal wear and the
fun, I saw how much effort the students, teachers, and school staff put into making the event
memorable. It made me appreciate the behind-the-scenes work that teachers do outside the
classroom. I also noticed how these events teach students lessons about social grace, confidence,
and teamwork, all essential life skills.
Throughout the week, I continued observing and assisting in the classroom. I’m slowly growing
more confident in interacting with students and taking on small responsibilities. Every day brings
a new learning experience. I’m beginning to understand the balance teachers must maintain
between their classroom duties and their involvement in school-wide events.
This week taught me that teaching is more than just delivering a lesson plan, it's about becoming
part of a community, celebrating with your students, and supporting them in all aspects of their
development. I’m grateful to be a part of it and even more inspired to continue growing into the
kind of teacher I want to be.
WEEK 3 : FEBUARY 17- 21

WEEK 3 REFLECTION: Starting My Actual Teaching (April 17–21)


This week marked a major milestone in my journey as a practice teacher my first time actually
teaching in front of the class. After weeks of observation and preparation, I finally took the lead,
and it was both exciting and nerve-wracking. Stepping in front of the students, knowing that I
was no longer just assisting but actually delivering the lesson, felt like a big leap forward.
At first, I was nervous about whether the students would listen, whether I could explain the
lesson clearly, or what to do if something didn’t go according to plan. But once I started, I found
myself slowly gaining confidence. I realized that while planning is important, flexibility is just as
crucial. There were unexpected questions, a few moments of silence, and even minor disruptions
but I learned to adapt, to breathe, and to keep going.
One of the most rewarding parts was seeing the students respond positively, nodding along,
participating, and even smiling. Their energy and curiosity reminded me why I chose to pursue
teaching in the first place. I also received constructive feedback from my cooperating teacher,
which helped me reflect on what I did well and what I need to improve. It's clear that teaching is
a continuous learning process.
Throughout the week, I became more aware of my teaching style and classroom presence. I
started working on my voice projection, pacing, and transitions between activities. I also realized
how important it is to connect with students not just through content, but through eye contact,
encouragement, and genuine interest in their learning.
This week wasn’t perfect, but it was powerful. I faced my fears, learned from my mistakes, and
gained a sense of fulfillment that only teaching can bring. I know there’s still a long way to go,
but I’m proud of this first step. It’s the beginning of something meaningful, and I’m ready to
keep learning, growing, and giving my best in the weeks to come.
WEEK 4 : FEBRUARY 24 - 28

WEEK 4 REFLECTION: 3rd Quarter Recognition and General Assembly (April 24–28)
This week was truly a celebration of achievement and unity within the school community. As a
practice teacher, being part of the 3rd Quarter Recognition and General Assembly gave me a new
perspective on the importance of acknowledging students' efforts not just academically, but also
in terms of their behavior, participation, and overall growth.
The Recognition Ceremony was a powerful reminder of why education matters. Seeing the
students walk up the stage with pride in their eyes and smiles on their faces was incredibly
moving. It made me realize that even the smallest encouragement or push we give as teachers
can lead to big milestones for our students. I saw how proud their parents and teachers were, and
it made me reflect on how recognition doesn’t only reward it inspires. It motivates other students
to work harder and reminds them that their efforts are seen and valued.
During the General Assembly, I witnessed how the school fosters a strong sense of community
and discipline. It was a time to reflect on the progress of the school, address important matters,
and realign goals. As a practice teacher, I appreciated the transparency and collaboration among
faculty, staff, and students. It helped me understand that teaching also involves being part of
decision-making, leadership, and consistent communication with the larger school body.
In between these big events, I continued to assist in the classroom and observe my cooperating
teacher’s methods. I’ve started becoming more comfortable taking initiative and building rapport
with the students. Each day is a chance to apply what I’ve learned and discover more about the
kind of teacher I want to be.
This week reminded me that teaching is about more than instruction; it's about inspiring, guiding,
and celebrating every step of a student’s journey. Recognition days and assemblies might only
happen a few times a year, but their impact lasts much longer. I’m grateful to be part of these
meaningful moments, and they’ve fueled my passion even more.
WEEK 5: MARCH 3 - 7

WEEK 5 REFLECTION: One Month in Sibulan as a Practice Teacher (May 3–7)


Time really does fly when you're learning and growing every day. This week marked my fifth
week of duty and officially one month of being a practice teacher in Sibulan. Looking back, it’s
hard to believe how much has happened in just a few weeks. From being an observer to actually
leading classes and being part of school events, this experience has already taught me lessons
that go far beyond what any textbook could offer.
Over the past month, I’ve learned that teaching is a balance of planning and flexibility. No matter
how prepared you are, every class is different, and things don’t always go according to plan. But
that’s okay, it's part of the process. I’ve learned to adjust, to think on my feet, and to always put
the students’ learning first.
The most fulfilling part has been building relationships with the students. I now know their
names, their quirks, their strengths, and even some of their struggles. I’ve started to understand
how important it is to really see your students not just as learners, but as individuals. Their
smiles, their questions, even their little jokes have made every day in the classroom meaningful.
I’ve also grown a lot professionally. I’m more confident in delivering lessons, managing the
class, and handling unexpected situations. I’ve learned to accept feedback with humility and use
it as a tool to improve. And I’ve come to admire even more the dedication and patience of my
cooperating teachers and the rest of the faculty.
Spending one month in Sibulan has also made me feel part of the school and the community. It’s
more than just a place to teach, it's a place where I’ve started to belong. This experience has
deepened my love for teaching and made me even more certain that this is the path I want to
take.
As I move forward into the next few weeks, I carry with me not just techniques and strategies,
but memories, lessons, and the heart of what it truly means to teach. I still have so much to learn,
but I am proud of how far I’ve come and I’m excited for the journey ahead.
WEEK 6: MARCH 10 - 14

WEEK 6 REFLECTION: Continuing My Lessons in the Fourth Quarter (June 10–14)


This week, I continued teaching my lessons for the fourth quarter. I felt more comfortable and
confident in the classroom. It’s amazing to think that just five weeks ago, I was still getting used
to the students and the school. Now, I feel like I really belong.
Teaching at this time of year was a bit challenging. Since it’s close to the end of the school year,
it was important to keep the students focused and interested. I tried to make sure they really
understood the lessons and could use what they learned, not just memorize it. Throughout the
week, I got better at handling the class and adjusting my teaching style based on what the
students needed. I learned that building good relationships with students helps a lot in managing
the classroom and keeping everyone involved. This made me realize how important it is to
connect with students and understand them.
Looking back on my earlier weeks, I can see how much I’ve grown. At first, I was unsure and
nervous. But now, I feel more prepared, flexible, and ready for anything. I’ve learned how
important it is to plan ahead, stay patient, and be open to change when things don’t go as
expected.
This week also reminded me of why I want to be a teacher not just to give lessons, but to inspire,
support, and help students grow. Teaching is not just about the subject, it’s also about helping
students become better learners and people. I’m proud of how far I’ve come in these five weeks.
I’ve learned so much and have a deeper respect for teachers and the work they do. I’m excited to
keep learning and improving as I continue this journey.
WEEK 7: MARCH 17- 21

WEEK 7 REFLECTION: Career Guidance Week (May 17–21)

This week’s theme, Career Guidance Week, gave both students and teachers an opportunity to
look toward the future with purpose. For the students, it was a time to explore their dreams,
reflect on their strengths, and begin thinking seriously about what paths they might take after
school. For me, as a practice teacher, it became a perfect moment to pause and reflect on the past
five weeks of my teaching journey, how far I’ve come, and where I’m headed. Career Guidance
Week reminded me of the power teachers have to influence and inspire. I watched as students
listened to speakers, asked questions about different careers, and shared their aspirations with
excitement and curiosity. Being there to support them, to listen, and to encourage their dreams
made me realize that teaching goes beyond the four walls of a classroom. We help shape futures.

Looking back over the past five weeks, I’m proud of the progress I’ve made. When I first
stepped into the classroom, I was filled with nervous energy and doubt. But little by little, I
found my rhythm. I learned how to plan effectively, how to engage students, how to manage a
classroom, and most importantly, how to connect. I’ve grown more confident, more patient, and
more passionate.

This week, seeing students reflect on their goals made me reflect on mine. I’ve realized that
teaching is not just a job, it's a calling. It’s about helping students discover their own paths, even
as we continue to grow in ours. I may still be a practice teacher, but I now see myself as part of
something bigger, part of a mission to guide, to educate, and to uplift. As Career Guidance Week
comes to a close, I feel both inspired and grateful. Inspired by the dreams of my students, and
grateful for the journey that led me here. These five weeks have been a blend of challenges,
lessons, and beautiful moments. And as I continue this journey, I carry with me not only the
skills I’ve gained but also a stronger sense of purpose.
WEEK 8: MARCH 24 - 28

WEEK 8 REFLECTION: Final Demonstration Week (May 24–28)

This week marked a major milestone in my journey as a practice teacher for my Final
Demonstration. It was the moment where everything I had learned, practiced, and experienced
over the past several weeks came together. Standing in front of my class, being formally
observed, and delivering my lesson with confidence felt like both a challenge and a celebration
of how far I’ve come. Preparing for the final demo took a lot of time, effort, and reflection. I
wanted to show not just what I had learned in theory, but what I had become through experience.
I thought about the different strategies that worked in past lessons, the feedback I had received,
and how I could make the session meaningful for my students. The pressure was there but so was
the passion.

During the demonstration, I felt nervous at first, but once the lesson began, I found myself more
focused and engaged. I saw the students responding, participating, and learning and in that
moment, I knew that all the hard work was worth it. It wasn’t just about impressing observers, it
was about making an impact in the classroom.

Looking back over the past five weeks, I can honestly say I’ve grown tremendously not just as a
future educator, but as a person. I’ve learned how to handle pressure, how to adapt in real-time,
how to build meaningful relationships with students, and how to stay committed to growth even
when things get difficult. Each week brought new lessons and new memories that shaped my
teaching journey. This final demonstration didn’t just mark the end of my practice teaching, it
marked the beginning of a deeper commitment to the profession I love. I leave this experience
not only with skills and knowledge but with a heart full of gratitude, a mind full of insight, and a
renewed sense of purpose. Teaching is more than a career, it's a lifelong mission. And I’m ready
to take the next steps.
WEEK 9: MARCH & APRIL 31 - 4

WEEK 9 REFLECTION: Exam Week for the Students (May 31 – June 4)

This week was Exam Week for the students, a quieter yet equally important time in the school
year. As the learners focused on reviewing and taking their assessments, I had the chance to take
a step back and reflect deeply on my journey as a practice teacher over the past several weeks.
Helping facilitate exams gave me a clearer perspective on the different responsibilities teachers
carry not just in delivering lessons but also in assessing how well students have absorbed the
material. I assisted with exam monitoring, checked papers, and observed how students
approached each subject. It reminded me that teaching is not just about instruction; it's also about
ensuring understanding, guiding progress, and identifying areas that need support.
As I looked at the students taking their exams, I felt proud not just of their growth, but of my
own. These past several weeks have been filled with new experiences, personal challenges, and
powerful learning moments. I remember how nervous I was during my first few days, uncertain
of whether I was ready. But now, I can see how much I’ve grown both in skill and in confidence.
From observing lessons in the first week, to taking on my first teaching responsibilities, to
participating in school events, and finally delivering my Final Demonstration, every moment has
shaped me. I’ve learned the value of preparation, the importance of classroom presence, and
most importantly, the heart it takes to truly teach.

This week, while the students were tested academically, I reflected on my own journey and I
realized I’ve passed a different kind of test. I’ve proven to myself that I’m capable, that I’m
passionate, and that I belong in this profession. As my time as a practice teacher nears its end, I
feel a mix of emotions, gratitude, pride, and a deep sense of fulfillment. I may be closing this
chapter, but the story is far from over. In fact, it’s just beginning.
WEEK 10: MARCH 7- 11

WEEK 10 REFLECTION: Culmination, Talents Day & Deliberation (June 7–11)​

This week was a beautiful and emotional one, Culmination Week, filled with celebration, talent
showcases, and final deliberations. It marked not just the end of the school year for students, but
also the end of my unforgettable ten-week journey as a practice teacher.
The Culmination Program and Talents Day were heartwarming. Watching students perform,
express themselves, and celebrate their achievements reminded me why teaching is such a
rewarding profession. I saw their growth not just in academics, but in confidence, creativity, and
character. Being part of the team that guided them to this point filled me with pride and gratitude.
During the deliberations, I witnessed how teachers come together to make thoughtful decisions
for the good of their students. I listened, participated, and reflected on how much dedication goes
into each student’s success. It was eye-opening to see the seriousness and compassion behind
every grade, comment, and decision made. It made me admire the teaching profession even
more.
As I close this chapter, I look back at the past five weeks of active teaching, and even further, to
the full ten-week experience. I began unsure and nervous, but I’m finishing this journey with a
strong sense of purpose and a heart full of meaningful experiences. I've learned not just how to
manage a class or deliver a lesson, but how to inspire, adapt, and truly connect with students.
This journey has been more than just a requirement, it has been a transformation. I’ve grown
from a student into a mentor, from an observer into a teacher. Every challenge, every classroom
moment, and every interaction has shaped me. As I say goodbye to the students, mentors, and the
school community, I carry with me not only memories but also a deep commitment to this
calling. The lessons I’ve learned here will stay with me forever. This may be the end of my
practice teaching, but it is only the beginning of the lifelong journey of being an educator.
WEEK 11: MARCH 14- 16

WEEK 11 REFLECTION: Recognition, Moving Up, and Graduation (June 14–16)​

As my time as a practice teacher comes to a close, this week’s Recognition, Moving Up, and
Graduation ceremonies were the perfect bookend to an unforgettable journey. These moments of
celebration not only marked milestones for the students but also served as a significant reflection
point for me on my own personal growth and development over the past five weeks. The
Recognition Day was a beautiful reminder of the hard work, dedication, and success that the
students achieved throughout the year. Watching them walk across the stage with their
certificates and awards filled me with immense pride, not only as a teacher but as someone who
had witnessed their journey from the start. It was a moment of celebration, but also a reminder of
how important it is to acknowledge each student’s effort and progress.

The Moving Up Ceremony was a beautiful transition—a symbol of growth and forward
momentum. Seeing students move to the next level in their academic journey reminded me of the
vital role we, as educators, play in guiding and shaping their futures. It felt deeply rewarding to
be part of their journey, even if in a small way, and to know that my time here has contributed to
their growth. And of course, the Graduation was the final, emotional moment of the week.
Watching the students I worked with prepare for the next chapter in their lives was both inspiring
and humbling. It reminded me of the impact that education has on shaping future leaders,
thinkers, and changemakers. It was a powerful reminder of why I chose this path—to be part of
something greater than myself, to help students realize their potential and find their place in the
world.

Reflecting on my own journey during these ceremonies, I realize just how much I have grown.
Over the past five weeks, I’ve learned more than I ever imagined. From lesson planning and
classroom management to building relationships with students and gaining confidence in my
teaching abilities, this experience has been transformative. It wasn’t always easy, but each
challenge made me stronger and more determined to grow as an educator.
As I move on from this practice teaching assignment, I feel grateful for the support and guidance
I received, the students who trusted me with their learning, and the lessons I’ve learned that will
stay with me throughout my career. The journey doesn’t end here; it’s just the beginning of my
lifelong commitment to teaching and to helping students achieve their dreams.
